Remarks

I had a great time at SXC, The college campus is full of energy and there is always something to do there. The education and the social life i experienced there is at par or if no better than any fine institution in India.I highly recommend SXC for anyone looking to pursue a BCom degree. It will be a pleasant experience.

Entrance Preview

I did not have to sit for an entrance, I filled in the admission application and followed the process. there were a series of interviews with faculty and the principal and then a list of selected applicants was published after a few days.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is extensive and detailed, the curriculum is up to date with the latest in accounting and business laws.

Internships Opportunities

At my time internships were not provided

Placement Experience

Companies like Panasonic and Nokia did come to our campus to recruit offering competitive packages but I did not enroll.

College Events

There are a lot of extracurricular activities . there is plenty to do on and off the campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee will never be a problem for anybody. I was studying at a mere Rs 6000 a year

Campus Life

The gender ratio is equal. there are enough of activities . All in all a very good social experience.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels on campus are okay. do not expect anything great. Once you find your way around you will know what to do .

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Exam Structure

There were weekly exams and half yearly exams as well. These determined my internal score and eligibility for the Calcutta university exams

The faculty is experienced and well recognized. The teaching style is appropriate and interesting . though students will have to pay close attention.

Placements are given. But not what students dreamed of. Everyone gets opportunity to sit on interview and get placed. To perform good in interview our university has included boot camps in our routine which helps in improving our interview skills. Analysis of a Prosperous Path of Career objectifying its Credibility and Outcome.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen B.A.LLB(Hons.) because I want to have knowledge of law because laws form the basis of society. Moreover, I had an Arts Background therefore, it was a good combination for me to explore and go according to my desired path of career. The count of faculty members of IILS is an approximation of 20-30 teachers and the students each semester is near about 70-100. The teachers are truly well versed in their respective subjects and they're immensely knowledgeable and friendly, they try hard to make us understand in the easiest manner. But the only problem is that the faculties are not permanent, it keeps on changing. The term examinations were always on time except for the lockdown time but this was also managed smoothly within time. In order to know the difficulties I would share a fact and i.e., when I took admission in my Institute there was a total number of 140 students in my semester but no sooner than the first exam held half of them failed and now we're 70 of us.

Placement Experience:

As far as the reviews of seniors, from 5th to 6th semesters campus placements are eligible. As per seniors, 90% of the students get placed. I have plans to go for LLM (masters) and practice as an advocate in the future.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

I thought of pursuing engineering and therefore have WBUJEE and JEE both. However, Kolkata engineering colleges apart from Jadavpur University is not worth it and since I got rejection from there, I made SXC to be the place. SXC is invaluable to me!

Admission i tried at almost all the colleges of Kolkata. Goenka was also in my mind as there the classes are in the morning and even St Xavier's Private University as well. SXC is an old pedigree!

There are no entrances like the Delhi University which I gave as well. Here admission are based on 12th percentage and the subjects that we have had. So, for general category in 2025 admission 92.7% from any board was the cut-off. For OBC it was 81 and for SC/ST students it was 73%....Read More
