Remarks

College management was good. It was mainly controled by the University of Calcutta.

Entrance Preview

There was no special entrance examination. After comletion of WBCHSE, I admit there. There was no interview also .

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was of three years and in two parts ,namely part-1( first year and second year) and part-2 ( third year). In part -1 there was four hons papers- math each of one hundred and two pass subject physics and chemistry each consist three papers of hundred marks are main. In part -2, there was only four hons paper each of hundred marks.

Placement Experience

There was no placement facility usually but for mathematics hons course job opportunities were too good, have so good and it had.

College Events

It was Saraswati puja and annual sports. In Saraswati puja all student enjoy very much and in annual inter university sports our college's performance was too good specially in football and table tennis.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There was feasible fee structure . Monthly Rs.110/ only for mathematics hons with physics and chemistry as pass subject. As practical portion in hons subject was so little.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know in details about it. Actually the total course fee and other cost were not so burden for even middle economic family .

Hostel Facilities

We were no college hostel at all . So, there is no question about it's rooms and mess foods. Maximum students of the college were in Kolkata.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

College seniors were good but we are not so closed . We have very little time gap of periods.

Exam Structure

Mainly in part -1 there was four hons papers- math each of one hundred and two pass subject physics and chemistry each consist three papers of hundred marks are main. In part -2, there was only four hons paper each of hundred marks.

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Physical Chemistry faculties are the best I got, that influenced me to carry forward my research carrier in Physical Chemistry. The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

It was good to be a part of that college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

The reality of SCC

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.

Remarks:

This college is extremely good and known for its discipline and the stress it puts on the importance of studying. Also, there are many extra curricular activities thag one can take part in, and the teachers are helpful and encourages for a better future and are also vert capable. I opted for the course because any biology related course excites me and this college has one of the best faculty for this course.

I applied for various other colleges such as Heramba Chandra College, Prafulla Chandra College, Dinabandhu Andrews College, Bidhannagar College, KK Das College. I couldn't make it there because of the new admission process of Calcutta University. I didn't get rejection from any college. In the new process you can apply for various colleges but you can get approval for only one College and if you do not want to get admission in the college. Then you have to cancel the admission and repeat the same process again . As my college is under Calcutta University so it has to follow the university rules and process of admission....Read More

All total are good

There are no entrance exam. Addmission process is very poor . Fees structure is too high compassion other colleges. No library facilities,no cantine, no hostel facilities. No extra tution facility. But the college authorities collect fees all above facilities. Addmission process is easy for player. Charuchandra callage is also know as sports college.that because the collage athletic team , football team, and cricket team is very impressive performance. But the student if he/she introduce himself as a player he/she get no extra facility from college. I want to see college improve there fees structure.
