Entrance Preview

I took BE exam and scored 90 marks out of 130. I got selected and took admission in Jamia because I did my schooling from Jamia and was aware with the atmosphere & culture of Jamia.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is very good with good subjects that lets you learn those things which you can apply in practical life.

Internships Opportunities

No, college doesn't provide internship but it can arrange for internships as it tie ups with leading MNCs.

Placement Experience

Placement is very good. Leading companies like Maruti Suzuki, L&T, Blue Star, Voltas, Ashok Leyland, Honda, Hero,Tata Motors, ACC, Microsoft, Wipro, HCL, Lava, TCS and many others visit every year and take students in bulk. For Computer & IT students, placement goes 100% every year.

College Events

Every day there is some cultural or technical or social event is organised in Jamia. Fests of different departments and faculties is organised every year. Some common fests are Foundation day programme, MIRAS, Tangelo Town and many other regional programmes which are organised regularly.

Fee structure is 10 times or more than that less than other Govt & Private colleges in India.

Jamia provides scholarships based on merit as well as for financially weaker students.

Campus Life

You will not find the Campus environment like that of Jamia anywhere in INDIA. Jamia has its own Sports Complex for various games like tennis, basketball, badminton, football & many other Indoor & outdoor games. It has a well maintained Cricket stadium as well. WiFi facility is available in whole campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is superb. Food served is of good quality like that of home. Yes seats are limited and totally allotted based on merit of student. Hotel fee would cost not more than 20,000 per year. WIFI facility is available in each room.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

There is a Alumni forum where students can seek help from their seniors for any help. All seniors are very helpful.

Exam Structure

Exams occur after every 6 months for semester system courses or annually for annual system courses.

Faculty

Faculty is very nice & supportive. All teachers are Ph.D. (except guest teachers-which have qualification of at-least M.Ed.)

DTU FROM A FRESHER'S PERSPECTIVE

Placement Experience:

DTU has one of the best placements records among engineering colleges.Students become eligible for placements from the 6th semester.Top companies like google microsoft ,qualcomm,airtel visit the college every year with many offers.the highedt package often go above 1 cr for cs/it while the average package around all other branches stay around 12-15 lakhs

DTU is a Nice Place

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college is its strong point. A lot of the students get placed at least somewhere in CSE especially. Google is the company a lot of the people get placed in. Highest package is around 2 Cr per annum and Average is around 12-20 Lacs per annum. Percentage of students that get placements is about 90%. There are a lot of internships options here and I know some students that have joined internships from the first year. My plans after getting a degree is to find a nice and comfortable job where I can balance my work and life and work hard there for good money.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements begin in final or fourth year. So from 7th semester students become eligible for on campus placement.From 5th semester or 3rd year students are eligible for on campus internships with very good package. In Nsut all top companies like Google, microsoft ,adobe, amazon, flipkart and many more visit.Around 300 companies visit each year. Highest package in 2024 is 83lpa in cse branch and 18 lpa average.In cse placement percentage is 70%, and in ee it is lower around 40%.

NSUT- A rollercoaster but definitely must have experience.

Placement Experience:

After internship season gets over, placement season starts with starting from 7th semester. At the start a lot of good product based companies visit and gradually the package offered start decreasing. The placement season lasts for full one year and around 90-95% students get placed. Infosys is major as nearly half the corwd is hired by them. Various other companies too but with very few requirements and it is difficult to get into those colleges as it is tough and very tough to be honest.

I started my master's in Chandigarh University before joining Jamia. We have to clear an entrance for JMI. In comparison, it is much better than Chandigarh University. The fee for Jamia is around 16000 for the course , whereas it's around 1.5 lakh there. Then comes the professors. They are much experienced and better in Jamia.
