Remarks
Good infrastructure, locational advantage, regular classes, friendly behaviour of faculties and lab assistants, modern laboratory equipments, book bank facility in the library, wifi facility throughout campus. These are the good aspects of my college. The sole bad aspect of the college is the poor drainage system which causes waterlogging on the way to the college during the rainy season. Admission process - admission through JELET score, West Bengal rank should be within 8500 and minimum 60% marks in diploma. Date of admission - 1st September 2017. I preferred this college over others firstly due to its consistent placement history, its locational advantage and modern laboratory equipments.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I did Diploma in Electrical Engineering and cleared JELET in Electrical Engineering, I chose an Electrical Engineering course in B.P PODDAR INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY admitted through JELET rank. The total number of students in each year In the EE Dept. was 60. There were 4 batches in EE. So the total number of students was 240. Whereas, the total number of faculties in EE Dept. was 15. So the ratio of the total number of teachers and students is 15: 240, i.e., 1: 16. The minimum qualification of all the faculties is M.Tech and 5 teachers including HOD are PhD degree holders. The teaching method of our faculties was very attractive and interesting .They were very keen to give a clear concept of the subjects. They paid attention to almost all the students equally. Yearly two semesters and four internal exams (two internal exams per semester ). The exams were not too difficult to pass if the classes were followed regularly and attentively. (the passing marks was 40%).
Placement Experience
After completion of 6th semester students become eligible for campus placements. There is a consistent record of placements from the campus but due to the ongoing pandemic, my placement procedures got postponed. So after completing the course I am pursuing a diploma course in digital marketing.
