My experience in Maitreyi College

Good Aspects- Easy availability of transport. Good quality of education. All teachers are very supportive. There are a lot of opportunities available in the college to showcase your talent in college society or other activities. The college environment is so peaceful. Bad Aspects-. The gap between classes is more. Admission process- The admission process is based on the merit list.In the month of June cutoff work starts, To get admission in a college u have to clear cutoff first, and then another process begins within the college. Cutoff work ends in the month of August or September. I preferred Maitreyi college because I saw college reviews. And one of my seniors was there who helped to get admission in this college.

I m from a commerce background, so I preferred b.com to increase my knowledge in this field. The faculty of the college is quite good. The commerce faculty is very good.All teachers teach in a practical way. They give not only theoretical knowledge but also gives practical knowledge. The teaching method is done by through whiteboards. Exams are done on a semester basis. There are 2 semesters in one year. One has to go through entire syllabus to pass the exams.

Tres Vista, Deloitte, and FIS are the companies which offered internship. Roles are offered by these companies are like an HR manager, Accountant and content writing etc. Stipend are like providing certificate or perks as well.

The placement of the college is not good. Students are eligible in the 6th semester for placement. Deloitte and FIS two big companies visited this year and many others. The highest package as per the company is 400000 per annum and the lowest package is 240000 per annum. Only 2-3% of students got placement. My plan is to prepare for government exams.

The fee structure of the college is yearly based. And an extra amount is to pay for exams. Cost of study is less as compared to other colleges. Don't know much about the scholarship. But for financial week sections, college gives them half of the fee in return. Campus jobs are also provided in college. No, I didn't get any job.

College campus is like heaven for me. The annual fest is conducted in the month of February. There is lot of fest conducted by the college from time to time. Fest are conducted by department wise also. All types of books are available in the college Library. Each subject book is available in the college Library. Amenities in the classroom are fans, fully furnished benches, and smart classes also there. The sports facility is also good. Extracurricular activities include various societies. Western dance society, western music society I.e Riyaaz, Fashion Society, traditional dance are types of society available. The social group includes Student union, NSS Group, and NCC Group as well. A page on Instagram named Maitreyi college is run by our student union.
