Remarks

Good aspect - It's a girl's college. Situated in the posh locality (Hauz khas). At walking distance of the station. Lots and lots of greenery in and around the college. Very peaceful area. Well-experienced staff and faculty. Teachers are very helpful and kind. The teaching way is really good. Practical knowledge is given. Various societies work. Our college has almost all the societies according to need and interest of a student. Seniors are way more polite and humble. The best society is the POISE fashion society. Bad aspect - It's a girl's college. Obviously, girls have a way more competitive nature than boys. Girls keep on arguing and fighting. Some are very self-centred and egoistic. Admission process - Merit based. After releasing the cut-off list, one can go to college for admission if the eligibility criteria for the course fulfills. Dates most probably in July-august. IHE has a very good faculty. All the courses being taught have a very vast scope in today's world. Searching on IHE's website helps.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as it has a very vast scope in today's world. The course provides lots of subject information that is relevant to the practical world. Teachers are in good number for different subjects. Also, each section has 25-26 students. And almost has 10 sections in a single course. Teachers are well qualified. Mostly have done PhD. Their teaching way is very interesting to understand the concept. Assignments are given from time to time. Exams, internals, practicals, etc. are conducted timely. It easy to pass if you have studied. Otherwise would find it a bit difficult.

Internships Opportunities

3

Big Companies like Nestle, Aajtak, Zee news, etc come here for internships and jobs. And startups like Inglu,Hareen, Uneako, Vistas, etc. come here. Profiles being offered are Social Media Marketing, Digital Marketing, HR, Graphic designer, Teacher, etc.

Placement Experience

3

Campus internships and placements are provided but in less number. Many companies came here to hire students. But I think the profiles that they come for is not related to the course being provided in the college. They are very common profiles that anyone can apply for if having the relevant skills. Course-related placements are less. My plan after the UG is to opt for PG course in the same field. And to do part-time job.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite higher than other DU colleges. It's nearly 29,140 per year. The scholarship is also given to the needy ones. Do they take examination fees around 2200 excluding yearly fees? If not paid on time, they charge a fine of around 1,500 per month. Job placement is quite low. Though placement cells keep on working to find companies for placements. Internships are provided.

Campus Life

4

Feria is the college fest organized in March. The availability of books is good. The library is pretty well maintained and covers almost good range of books. Classrooms have blackboards, chalks, desk and chair for teachers, chairs for students. Almost 70 chairs in a single class. Well ventilated and have lots of windows. Practical labs have almost all the required equipment. Various societies are there working for different activities like drama, acting, dance, music, fashion, sports, NGOs, etc. NSS is also there. They keep on working. There is Student's Union in the college which is a group of 30-35 students which works for the welfare of the students and college and organize cultural tests and events like fresher's,farewell, fest, and all. Also departmental fest's and society's fests organized separately. Other fests like Diwali, holi, fests, etc. There is lots of entertainment and learning scope in the college.

Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
