Remarks

This college provides everything which a student needs to develop their personality. Placement cell also works great and have achieved positive results as this college has been visiting reputed companies. There are a bundle of societies to join according to one's interest. In this course, admission is given on the basis of the rank a student secured. The college provides exposure to the students which is quite important. Used Collegedunia, Google, Quora for selecting this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I was interested in this course because of my interest in the field of business and economics and wanted to learn more about both these domains. The faculty:student ratio-1:40. The faculty is very cooperative and well qualified. They are expert in their fields and have high-end knowledge. They teach quite well and their pedagogy is commendable. Exams are held every 6 months as they are held after every semester and 1 semester is for 6 months. It's not difficult to pass the exams as the teachers teach very well and students enjoy giving exams.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The roles offered are usually social media marketing intern, digital marketing intern, business development intern and HR intern. The companies including Tommy Hilfiger, Decathlon, and yes bank have come to our college for internship opportunities for students. The project offered is usually according to their match of skill set and course curriculum. For example, if a 1st-year student applies for an internship then the role offered will be including social media interns, business development interns but the responsibilities will be given according to curriculum and are not at the mere advantage of the company.

Placement Experience

4

Students from semester 6 become eligible for the placement. Placement cell actively participates on the different ground for finding companies which recruit and creating from and fixing a date for an interview with the students. Tommy Hilfiger, Woodland, PWC, Kotak Mahindra bank, yes bank and decathlon are the prominent companies that have visited our college for off campus placement drives. The average package is around 3-4lacs and the highest package offered was 10 lacs p.a. to the students. The average percentage demanded by the company is 70% or above. The companies usually check for the skills and the extracurricular activities mention in the CV. My plan after getting my degree is to go for MBA with a good CAT score.

Fees and Financial Aid

BBE course has comparatively higher fees as compared to other courses as the fees for this course is 40000 and for other courses, the fees are around 21000. But it's still reasonable as per the education the college is providing. The college encourages outstanding students by giving awards and scholarship twice a year. The student's welfare committee of the college aims at providing financial assistance and improving the academic standards of the needy and deserving students by promoting the meritorious among them. Every year around 200 students are selected for merit cum means and means based scholarships.

Campus Life

5

Our college is now going to organize an online fest named mudra which is related to business and I'm very excited about that. SGND Khalsa has a library named Bhai Gurdas library. The college library not only houses some 73366 books but also subscribes to a good number of research journals as desired by the different college departments from time to time. The library is fully computerized and centrally air-conditioned. Classrooms are very well maintained and fully air-conditioned as well as well furnished. Annual sports day is organized every year and has all the sports and students enjoy a lot there. There are various cultural and academic societies in our college. Cultural societies include bhangra, impasto, magus, photo bug, etc. and academic societies include cyber clan, encore, kirt, sofica, etc. which are run by the students.

Placement Experience:

Placements of my college are pretty good. The placement cell of my college is pretty active and facilitataes the placement process. Companies like Deloitte, EY and PWC often come to our college for placements with the average package being Rs. 8,00,000. After getting this degree, i will pursure another degree in MBA or I might also take a part in the placement process and pursue an MBA later. Students in semester 6 and further can take part in the placement process but there are internship fairs and summer internship programmes for students who are not eligible for placements

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have a keen interest in pursuing in Economics field as a career and hence my degree perfectly aligns with my career goals The curriculum is not very effective when we talk aboht the real world exposure however it is very good for further academic pursuits The curriculum could be a bit more practical based where we get exposure to the real industry as well. The exams are held twice in an year. The difficulty level is moderate

Course Curriculum Overview:

the maths it includes under mme , i loved that curriculum, also the micro and macro economics and stats both as sibjects fascinate me alot which is why i chose this course. the curriculum does prepare us for real world applications because it includes stats and eco which are quite helpful. the one thing i think should be improves is that the stats course at times includes stuff which has been taught to us before in class 12th and is not relevant to be taught again.
