Remarks

College has a really good placement incharge. That's the only reason MVIT is famous. 100% placements. As long as you don't have any backlogs. Lecturers are decent. They provide a lot of assistance to whoever wants it. Lab equipments are kinda old. But everything depends on how the student does things. Admission process isn't tough as I got in through CET. Everything is done through KCET people like documents verification, etc. I picked MVIT over BMSIT because MVIT has a lot more sports exposure than BMSIT. And I picked it over nitte because it wasn't under VTU. Lesson learnt :Don't pick any college under VTU. Exam corrections are horrible and I've had multiple instances of getting 15+ marks more after re-evaluation(that's a big deal). Syllabus is also outdated with very less versatility in subject selection(atleast in ECE). I've had to go through a separate training after getting placed. Which is a waste of time for both the college and the company.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I had always liked ECE and had not even applied for other courses. Faculty is mostly good, but there are always some exceptions. Student to teacher ratio is really good. Every 20 students had 1 local guardian for councelling and other help. Teaching methods were mediocre, mostly involving boring lectures without any application based curriculum. Lab sessions are above average. They had very less versatility in learning. We were forced to learn memorize only what was in the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities from the college are almost zero. I have done a couple of internships but I had to apply and clear interviews on my own for that. College didn't provide any opportunities as such. But it is important to mention that Internship are a part of the curriculum and it's compulsory to do one.

Placement Experience

5

7th semester is when you're allowed to sit for placements, with the criteria that you have no current back logs and maintain a minimum of 60%. Some of the c that visited- Path partner, Microfocus, MuSigma, Target, KPIT, Mindtree, TCS, Veoneer, Accenture, Ernst&Young. 100% of my friends/acquaintances have been placed. My plan after degree- work for a couple years and then apply for masters in ECE.

College Events

Kalanjali is the annual fest usually in October. Almost every department hosts their own tech fest at some point of the year. Library wasn't very well maintained when I was studying. But right now, they've built a new facility that seems top notch. Amenities in classrooms - nil. Sports was highly encouraged in MVIT, with attendance coverage for every tournament you participate. Innovation club, various mechanical dept clubs that are into making tiny race cars(not familiar with the name) and IEEE groups are the main clubs run by students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As long as you get into the college through KCET, fees are around 50-60k per year. If it's a management seat, it'll be around 1.9lacs per year. I didn't reside in the hostel so not aware of their fees. Various scholarships were offered but they were mostly based on reservation quota. I got placed in 2 different companies-TCS and KPIT(Core ECE company)

Admission

There were no GD/PI for admission. Just had to take up the KCET exam. Syllabus for KCET is pretty much same as 2nd PU portions. I also attended Byju's coaching classes for help, but it didn't affect much.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
