A Review Based on My Knowledge

This college is a mark of excellence. Heritage Institute of Technology provides us with the best education. The faculties here are really awesome. They are so much supportive and helpful that it will melt your heart. The admission process is quite simple, you just have to be ready with the generally required documents, when you reach college you have to write an application to the GM in order to get wavier for tution fees, then fill the form and after the verification of documents go and pay the fees. I preferred this college over others as I thought that this would be the perfect one for me to get my Master's degree.

The name of my course is Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering. I chose this course as this was the same course on which I have done my graduation, i.e., Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Technology. And also I wanted to have a Master's Degree in this very course. The faculty: student ratio in this college is perfect as per my knowledge. All of the faculties here are awesome. I believe that they are most qualified to teach. They are awesome and they teach so well. All of them are so helpful and they guide us in a proper way so that the teaching-learning process is perfect. The exams are held at the proper time, although there are some changes in times because of the pandemic we are facing. The difficulty of passing exams varies from student to student. Though if we follow the teachings of our faculty thoroughly and study well, then we will be able to pass exams quite easily.

If one is interested in academic research, he/she can always look for summer research opportunities in Universities, R&D organizations and national laboratories. One can also choose to work with a company or an organization as Summer Associate/ Summer Intern/ Summer Analyst. The list is endless. Summer courses are organized during the semester break in June every year.

UG students, mostly are eligible for campus placement from their pre-final year. That is around the 5th or 6th semesters. TCS is a mass recruiter with almost 80% of recruitments. Also, there are various Large Scale as well as Small Scale companies that come for placements. MNCs like Amazon also recruits from this college with great packages. As per my knowledge, the highest packages offered were around 12-16 lacs per annum, the lowest was 3.6 lacs per annum and I guess the average packages are between 4-6.2 lacs per annum. So you see, almost all the packages are way more than good enough for freshers and the placement is great and the is no doubt about that. The placement percent is almost more than 80%.

As Heritage Institute of Technology is an autonomous institute the fees are quite a bit high than regular private colleges, although they are on par with the infrastructure of the institution. Since I have more than 80% marks in my secondary and higher secondary exams and also over 7.5 DGPA in graduation, I was able to get a waiver of tuition fees by writing an application to the officials. That is how the fees are most likely affordable according to the course I am studying.

There is an elected Student's Council constituted with sub-committees like Cultural, Academic, Magazine, Games and Sports and various Clubs to encourage and organize various co-curricular activities. The Annual Cultural Festival - ECLECIA The Annual Technical Fest - DAKSHH. These festivals are organized with much fanfare and enthusiasm. The institute has a Photography, Film and Drama Club: PRAVHASVANA, under the aegis of Student's Council. Also, there is a Social Awareness and Community Service club (SPARSH). Books and Journals are available in the Library as per the Students need.
