Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum in very benefitting to the students. It follows a course outcome type pattern. Semester Exam takes place twice a year and in each semester, we have to give 2 class tests of each subject.

Placement Experience

5

Our college is known best for its placements and job opportunities. Various big and small companies come to our campus for the placement in the final year. This include big MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon etc. And PSU's like IOCL, BPCL etc. They also provide internships to the students of 3rd year with a healthy stipend.

College Events

The culture of our college is the heart of it.Firstly the session begins with a freshers for each individual department. Ours is called CIIPPUS. In it various competition in sports and games and cultural activities are conducted among the 1st year students. Then there is an overall freshers called U-Turn for all departments combined. Then there is sports fest called Arena, Tech fest called Srijan, largest in the eastern India, then the most grand fest called Sanskriti the cultural fest.

Fee Structure And Facilities

This is another factor that attracts the students. Our college is the least expensive college for engineering in India. It is highly feasible to everyone even the poor and needy can afford it. It is 11000 for full course. We give 50% in the 1st year and 50% in the 3rd year. Needy students may write application and could waive off the this fees also i.e study free.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our University is super cheap and there is no requirement of the loan. Needy students and meritorious students write an application about their in ability to pay the fees and appear for an interview. The Selected students from the interview may get a partial or full waiver of there fees.

Campus Life

4.5

There are various clubs in Jadavpur University for extra curricular activities but unfortunately most of them are not functional. Our University has average sporting facilities, has a football ground, cricket net, basketball court, TT etc. Labs are not in good condition as the equipments are faulty and very old.

Alumni/Alumna

This is another positive of the University. The seniors and alumni are super helpful. Seniors guide you step by step in how to perform in the academics well and help you in going in the right path during internships and jobs. Our Alumni network is very strong. They are at various high positions and help us with it if they get to know that we are their juniors.

Admission

First I gave the WBJEE exam. After clearing I had to will the counselling for WBJEEB where I got IEE branch in JU in the 3rd round of counselling. There were 2 extra rounds after 3rd round, mop-up round and spot round. After the counselling ended, I went to the college to take admission, did the formalities and took the admission.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

I always want to build my career in commerce and my aim is to be a chartered accountant. So I took this course because the syllabus of CA and B.com is the same. our college faculties are so helpful. They always come forward to resolve our academic and nonacademic doubts. Their teaching methods are also good. we don't need to purchase any book, their notes are enough for our syllabus.
