Remarks

It had the desired course which I wanted to pursue and it is considered as one of the best colleges for Statistics in South Campus, University of Delhi. Also, I got admission to the second merit list here with 94% being the cut-off. The admission process was smooth and all administrative staff members are cordial and ready to help. You may also find NSS volunteers at the college front gate who are ready to help you anytime. The faculty is one of the best among all colleges of the University of Delhi. We get hands-on experience of data along with the theoretical curriculum as it includes practicals as well. I have searched a lot about this college before taking admission. Collegedunia was one of the many websites I had visited. The college also organizes an annual fest every year and has various societies for the overall development of the students. I was a part of various societies like the English debating society, English dramatics society, NSS, College editorial board, Yoga and meditation

Course Curriculum Overview

5

I chose this course as Statistics and Mathematics always intrigued me since childhood and I was always eager to learn more in this field. Also, considering the importance of data in today's world this course is one of the best-suggested courses for graduation apart from Computer Science, Economics, and Psychology. The faculty is extremely experienced with 25+ years of experience and they are really helpful and always lend a helping hand to the students. The library in the college is the best part and has various books and good seating space. The library is one of the largest among all colleges of the University of Delhi. The faculty teaches using blackboard and provides notes as well. The labs are well equipped with all the computers and it is air-conditioned too. The principal of the college is very kind and helpful. The mid-semester exams are held after every six months but the teachers keep taking internal assessments, quizzes, class tests to make improvements.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship fair is conducted twice every year and many students get their desired profile. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, etc come to visit the campus. There are various NGOs that also recruit students for various roles like a content writer, fundraiser, anchor, etc

Placement Experience

3.5

The college has a placement cell of their own and works very hard every year to place the students who want to get their jobs or internships. Every year 2 internship and job fairs are conducted in the college which helps students get their desired profile internship and jobs. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Campus vibes, NGO's visit

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is very affordable and has a basic fee of 13,000/- for each year. The examination fees are also taken before every mid semester exams which has a charge of 1500-2000/-. The fee hike is minimal and being a government college though the facilities are very basic like the infrastructure is not so good and even the washrooms are not very hygienic sometimes.

Campus Life

3

The campus life is very good and this place is very near to Satya Niketan which is a hub of cafes so students hang around in this area after their classes. As the college ground is well maintained with benches and green bushes students spend a good time here too. A very well maintained canteen is also present.

Interview Experience

0.5

There was no group discussion, interview or written test that was taken for my admission process. I got admitted via a merit basis here and only merit is an option to get admitted but for some courses, there is an entrance exam too.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.
