Remarks

Shyama Prasad Mukherji College For Women is one of the best Colleges amongst all Delhi University Colleges. The reason I chose this college over others because it is Safe and located in a good area. College also has an active placement cell, around 60% of students get placement by various companies like IGATE PATNI, TCS, Wipro, and Alentra. Various Internships like the Campus Ambassador Internship are provided to students by various well-known companies like Myntra, GIF Keyboards, Google, and Girl Healthy foundation. Faculty is very good as they provide the best materials and easy teaching methods to students even in Online Learning. The course curriculum is relevant and teachers are always ready to help. Srijan is an event at our college, One of the best singers is called to make the whole crowd crazy. The Fests are conducted like Dance Competitions at the DU level. In short, It is an amazing college which one could hope for.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I decided to pursue B.com (H) as I am Planning to learn A foreign language i.e. Germany so it would be easier for me to manage both courses altogether. The teachers are Best Qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. This course with the help of practical knowledge can make you industry-ready. Teachers provide easy methods and tactics to solve questions. Even Online learning seems interesting with a great way of teaching.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Yes, The college offers various internship opportunities to the students. Around 80% of students got internships from various companies like AICTE, Intern Theory, Internshala, and Unschool. Students from different departments can apply for internships. The highest package offered is around 3-5 LPA.

Placement Experience

3.5

To offer placement facilities, The college maintains a placement cell that aims to connect students with budding employers by the way of internships and job opportunities. Around 60% of the students get placed by various companies like Genpact Banking, Insurance, Myntra, GIF Keyboards, Amazon, Redmi, Niti Ayog Internship Team, Internship as Translators, Google, Girl Healthy Foundation, and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fee structure is not too heavy. It is an off-campus college but it is worth the money paid. As I am a first-year student, I am not much aware of the scholarships or The Jobs offered in the college.

Campus Life

3.5

As a first-year student, I never visited my college due to this Pandemic, so I do not have any personal experience to share. But, I visited the college virtually which is the only option left. The college campus is huge and it has a large lawn where students can enjoy sitting. It has a canteen too. Fests are conducted and various competitions like Dance Competition, Fashion shows, and many more are organized at the DU level. Recently, An Online Farewell was conducted which too was really fun and amazing. It provides various extracurricular activities too. Can't wait to visit the college in an offline mode.

Other Applied Colleges

Keshav Mahavidyalya | B.com (H)

I did'nt Opt for this college as it was large distanced and moreover no transport facility was available easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

Placement Experience:

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
