Remarks
I got admission to Assam University, Silchar on the basis of merit list on 12th Dec 2020. I prefer this University because of its placements and reasonable fees and highly skilled teachers. I applied online for this University through the www.aus.ac.in.
Course Curriculum Overview
Basically, I preferred this cource due to my interest in electronics devices and to find out more about it .the department provides a huge variety of facilities including digital classroom, computer labs practical labs etc. The teachers are highly skilled and they create a good teaching environment in the class. The exams are held every 2 months (internal assessment, mid -sem and lastly end-sem).
Internships Opportunities
There is a huge number of internship opportunities on the campus. And based on the work stipend is also given ranging from 1000 to 6000. I work for two companies and the tenure of the internship was 4 week and it was a great experience that will help me in future for the job recruitment.
Placement Experience
The students get placement from the final year. The companies are Microsoft, Bandhan bank, HDFC Bank etc. The average package is 8 lakh and the highest package is 26 lakh. The maximum number of students who get placement having a percentage of 60+. I plan to get a job at Microsoft.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are 55165 which is quite reasonable compared to other universities and they provide scholarship for students having their parent's income less than 4 lakh and free admission to those whose parents got divorced and the student is living with his/her mother having income less than 1 lakh.
Campus Life
The most important thing that we all wanted is a good campus life which includes great hostel facilities and ofcourse good food. There is a library where there are various kinds of books, journal and newspapers too. The campus provides indoor and outdoor sports including basketball, football, cricket and badminton. There are also a various social group which helps the needy people and also various clubs run by the students.
Hostel Facilities
There are AC facility in the room, 2 seated beds, fans, tables and chair, water purifier and everyday use essentials. They have veg/non-veg meal options for the students 3 times a day according to their preferences.
Interview Experience
No, there were no group discussion, interview or written test. There are other modes of admission like Jossa, Csab, Spot admission based on JEE, online admission based on merit list etc. the required documents are uploaded online.
