Remarks

I am eligible to take admissions in two colleges first was Acharya Narender Dev College and the second was Dyal Singh Evening College. Firstly I applied for ANDC but after discussing with my family and relatives I take admission to DSCE. There was a three-day timeline for admissions. I went for 2nd day but due to some less document and large students, my admission is not completed. Then I went on the 3rd and last day And I got admission through signing an undertaking because I had one missing document. After submitting all documents in college I paid the fees in the evening and then my admission was completed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose to pursue B.Com Honours because I wanted to get the depth knowledge of commerce. I study different subjects like Accounting, management, finance, economics and I get very good knowledge from these subjects. The faculty-student ratio is very good. There is complete faculty for every subject. The faculties who teach us is very experienced and qualified. There was a teacher of entrepreneurship subject who had completed graduation, CA, CS masters and diploma and he always teaches us without books and gave us practical knowledge through games and tasks. There are also two very well experienced ma'ams for commerce subject who has a traditional and effective teaching method. Also, some new teachers have similar thinking as students and they believe that college is just not for studies but it's all about exposure. And also they discuss students career and talk about the share market. But the non-teaching staff are somewhat rude.

Internships Opportunities

3

There is an internship fair taken place every year for giving internship to students and providing experience to students. There are many companies that come for providing internship mauve around 15 to 20 for different job profiles like HR, graphic designing, content writer, business development executive, manager, managing intern etc. For grabbing the internship students have to go for the interview which is taken place on the campus along with there resume. Firstly candidates have to tell the recruiters about his/her self and then the recruit asks for different technical and soft skills question. There is maybe a GD round assessment round for interview totally based on the policies of the company for selection.

Placement Experience

1.5

Students are eligible to grab placements through the second years. A fair is organised by the Comhub the commerce society of DSCE in which students have to appear and give the interview and other rounds as per the company procedures. Companies that come for placement is zomato, Homeflic Wegrow, Wipro BPO and other small companies. The highest package is around 4,00,000 and the average package is around 2,50,000. 5% of students get placement through college. After graduation, I would like to prepare for government exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are very cheap compared to other private colleges and universities. The year fees are about 10,000 to 13,0000 and the examination fees are taken by the college semester wise. In the first year, the fees are about 13,000 included the examination fees of the 1st and 2nd semester. College fees for the 2nd and third year are about 10,000 to 11,000 and examination fees is taken semester wise. Examination fees for 3rd and 4th semester was 810 rupees and for the 5th and 6th semester it was 510 rupees. Overall your total fees for 3 years is about under 35,000. I had never got any scholarship neither for marks nor for any quota and also my friends who are from sc, obc never get any scholarships.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus of Dyal Singh College is the largest among south campus colleges. College is situated in the heart of Delhi on Lodhi road. There is just buildings and faculties that are different for the morning and evening but you will never feel like you are from Evening because everything is mixed. Dyal Singh evening college is a full-fledged morning college. Everything happens on a morning basis. In short, the campus is very good and big. There is an amphitheatre in the middle of college, cricket and basketball ground on the left corner of college and basketball ground and garden on the right corner of the corner. Fest name of DSCE is RAJNIGANDHA which is conducted in the month of February. Also, there is a comfiest fest for commerce students. The library of the college is very good and systematic. You will get all the books regarding your course and subjects. Also, you can get Novels of your choice. There is a good capacity for students who want to study in the library. There are also societies.

Interview Experience

3.5

There is no GD or assessment for taking admission for undergraduate programs. The admission is taken place on the basis of merits. Colleges issues there cutoff and if you are eligible for that you can go for the admissions. For admission student have to submit a copy enrollment form admission form, 10th certificate, the 12th certificate, ID proofs and other relevant documents and also students have to submit original documents for confirmation. But now maybe there is no need to submit original documents just you have to scan your document and submit soft copy on du admission website. In the time of covid maybe there is also no need for students to submit copies of documents through offline mode. Beacuse everything is now gone for online mode.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .

When students enter 3rd year of their college , they are eligible to sit for placements but should have minimum 8 CGPA .A lot of companiess visit campus , details of companies are on the website of college. The highest placement till now is 20 Lakhs per Annum and average goes around 6-7 Lakhs per Annum. A decent percentage of students get placed. Honestly most students here are pursuing professional courses so they don't sit for placements instead continue with their courses .
