Remarks

Our college has the best faculty and library. Many students from the north and south campus travel all the way to our college just to read and make notes but students from other colleges are not allowed to issue the books, they are only allowed to read in the library itself. I choose this college because it's near my house and our classes start at 10:00 A.M. for B.A. students. So, even if students live far from college they can easily reach on time. Our college infrastructure is not very good but the professors are not only our professors here, they act as our mentors too. I referred to quora and shiksha.com before taking admission to this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course has been changed this year by Delhi University and many new things are added to our curriculum which replaced old chapters. It seems very amazing that our university has updated the course and the faculty is very good. I choose this course as I had an interest in pol science, history and was keen to widen the knowledge criteria for a single language All the faculty members use innovative ways to teach the students. All the professors have a P.H.D. and general elective teachers have great knowledge and experience of teaching their subjects. The exams were held timely, the internals was quite difficult but external were easy.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship opportunities are available both on-campus and off-campus. The placement cell of Send thrives to provide internship opportunities to the students and also provides many career counseling free of cost. Many webinars and seminars are organized by different departments also that help students better prepare for future opportunities. Top companies that have visited our campus for the internship include Decathlon for sports leader, Yes Bank for business development, Dreamz Group for digital marketing, Tommy Hilfiger for managerial jobs, and many more. Students in internships are given projects and if the students perform well then the companies recruit them for permanent jobs.

Placement Experience

4

Students from semester 6 become eligible for placements and students from semester 1 itself become eligible for internships. Companies like Tommy Hilfiger, Decathlon, Pwc, Wipro, and Yes Bank have visited our campus for placements. The highest package offered was around 9.5-10lacs p.a., On average 70% of the students gets placed by the companies, many students also plan for further studies. My plans after the degree are to go abroad for MBA(finance).

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of our college are quite affordable. This year we paid 16,500 which is a small plunge from last year.e.,18,100. The fees are rarely hiked and the cost to study (tuition fees) is affordable, there are Pg's available which are near from our college at an average rate of 4000-5000 p.m. Yes, our college provides scholarships to students but there is an examination which the students have to give and at last, an application has to be submitted to the principal after which the eligible students are granted scholarships are granted to students. I passed an interview of Dreamz group but I didn't go for training as the training was held in CP everyday and it would have been a difficult task for me to commute everyday to college and to the training center.

Campus Life

3.5

The social life of our college is quite amazing, the most popular place of our college is the stair area. The annual fest of our college "Surlok" is very famous as every year Punjabi singers are called and the overall event is very lively. There're many fun activities that are conducted during the annual fest like talent hunt round, Poetry competition, Dance competition, and many more. There are all basic amenities in our classrooms including chalk, duster, whiteboard, blackboard, and projector. Our college doesn't have a big ground still the societies encourage students to take part in extracurricular activities. There are 44 societies in our college and all have their different social media handles handled by college students. There's currently no website handled by students.

There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
