Remarks

My senior brother suggested me to take admission in the college. This is a renowned College in Kolkata and also good for science subjects. The facility members are really nice. The fees the College charges is affordable for me.

Teachers are very helpful. They are very knowledgeable about their subject. Teaching quality is very good and it is above average. Course curriculum is very well balanced and all the necessary topics are covered in this and it makes the students Industry ready.

Placement Experience

67% student placed from my batch. The highest package was offered 7.2 LPA. The lowest Package was offered 2.4 LPA. Many of the top recruiting companies visited the campus for Summer & Final Placements. Most of the students got placed for Summer Internship.

College Events

Facilities are very good. Infrastructure is very good. Hostels are not available. Library is fully enclosed with all type of books. Labs are also well-equipped with all the machineries and chemicals that are necessary for Science students. All the classrooms are very clean.

Placement Experience:

Calcutta University has an active placement cell that plays a crucial role in securing jobs for students. Companies like EXL, Genpact, Infosis regularly visit campus for requirement and the average package offered to students is around 6-6.5 LPA. I have plan, go for Ph. D. or some specialized courses after completing my M.Sc. course.

My college is the best college never ever forget it

Placement Experience:

For the placement, out of 60 students of my batch, 40 students were got placed from campus placement. TCS, CTS, WIPRO, Accenture, etc. all the big companies came for campusing. Overall good placement got from my college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because I loved the subject. Nothing more. The faculty of political science consists of 5 professors and our class strength is 58. The faculty is well qualified and they will cover each and every topic for you. But in the online mode of teaching, you will surely face some difficulties communicating with the professors and the regularity of the class will decrease but in offline mode, you will not face these problems. There will be 1 mid sem exam and 1 final exam per semester. There will be assignments and attendance also carries some marks (In our case, 5 marks per paper). The exams are conducted regularly and they were not much difficult to pass. The faculty will help you as per your need to prepare for your exams.

A college with all the facilities.

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. Those nice college days

I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list.
