Remarks

Although many teachers and facilities aren't up to the mark, the students are in the end, more capable than almost all architecture colleges in the country. Students from only top 1500 in jee come here so its a given they have potential.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum-Some of it is old. Not really relevant today. Marking in architecture is subjective to teacher in general, so yes face value matters. Research options are vast. We have libraries in faculty but also a humongous central library. Real life experience comes with internship in final year but also an educational trip every year to different parts of the country from kerela to himachal, from Rajasthan to Assam. Campus placements are scarce. That's mainly because students find firms by themselves.

Placement Experience

1.5

Non existent placements. That's for architecture in general. Students join firms on their own. However they can sit for placements if they want to. But it's not needed most of the time.

College Events

4.5

Every faculty organises its own fest. Then many society have their fest. Then collectively University has its own celebration. So we are looking at a lot of stuff going on at once. Not a lot of celebritiesaybe due to political reasons but still high profile people are common in all conferences. Compared to DU fest they are very small. But every student has the chance to get involved if they want to. Many different societies have to work together and you might join any one of them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

RS. 8,500 for a year. I think that should answer your question. Do well in exam, you might get another scholarship and your fee is less than 6 thousand. All modes are entertained. Yes, transparency is there. This does not include anything else except tution fee. Additional charges for hostel. But they are also more or less cheap. However very scarce to accommodate all students, hence you might have to give interview toget hostel, else find a PG, but they can be easily found.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opted for a loan or scholarship. However top 4 students in exams are given scholarship. An amount of about 2000 is awarded. Not sure.

Campus Life

2.5

Extremely good campus life. Multiple canteens, vast variety of veg and non veg food, cheap too. Almost 1:1 male to female ratio in our faculty. One of the best sports facilities in town, common wealth games training also happened here. We have jamia queer collective for sexual orientation equality, no student council, economic status varies widely from rickshaw owners kids to United Nations employee kids. Although In our faculty almost 50% are Muslims but this percentage is higher for the whole University. Speaking in diversity, we have students from almost all parts of India.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No. Preference given on basis of marks, economic condition, distance from home state etc. Even after scoring well in school I couldn't get hostel due to family average income. Remember students from all economic background come to this University so your chance increases highly if your annual family income is less than 2-3 lakhs and distance from home is also far. Eg. Kerela.

Alumni/Alumna

Not very large network as faculty is somewhat two decades old. But it's a strong network. Yes seniors are helpful, something common in all architecture colleges.

Faculty

3.5

Some are REAL good. Almost 50 not sure. Very well qualified, multiple degrees. Well versed with the real world experience and others in the field. Having said that, some are just hanging, passing time, because they are not themselves fully qualified.

I feel like the curriculum is a little out dated and boring but due to a good faculty it makes the course more worthwhile The curriculum is very text based and less practical and more emphasis on bookish knowledge persists still .

As per I've heard, placements here are decent. I can't say for sure because I'm new here. About my plans, I am doing CFA side by side because I don't believe that a bachleors degree has any valur of it's own, one needs to pair it with something else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a person who wants to build a strong foundation in both economics and mathematics, B.A.(Hons.) Economics was my first choice. This course not only provide valuable insights into how real world economics work, but it also has great career prospects. Students studying economics major actively take consulting, research, risk management as popular career choices. Since this is a practical course with a broad focus on mathematics, the difficulty level is from moderate to high.

Students after completing third year are eligible for placement. Placements start before starting of fourth year, and it requires students to have no backlogs in any subjects. However companies can imply their own rules to filter the students such as minimum CGPA criteria. But placements of our college is one of the best placement for a non-IIT college, despite having so many student intake.
