Remarks

When I got to college, however, I started to meet people from all over the country and the world; being able to get to know people who come from backgrounds different from my own has been one of the most enriching parts of my college experience. Diversity is the spice of life, they say, and there’s no better place to discover that than in college.

Entrance Preview

SAT Subject Test scores I needed for top colleges in which I scored 7.5. Only MSC for Women offered me for B.com Hons which was was my choice.

4

Good. So many multinational co.s like wipro, concentrix etc. visit here for interview the final year students. The important thing about work placements is that they provide an opportunity for you to get to grips with working - meeting deadlines and working in a team. While a placement may enhance your knowledge and help with your course, it can also help you find out more about a job or industry, leading to more informed decisions upon graduation.

College Events

4.5

Since the last 55 years, this has been the carnival with a perfect blend of fun and competition. There are a plethora of competitions that rock the college during this time, ranging from literary, dramatics to film and photography. What makes students starry eyed for this event is the Perpz – an all day dance floor. The Hard Talk also draw a large intellectual crowd, who gather to hear the various talks by eminent personalities. SF therefore has all that you want, to offer to a huge variety of interests. Spring Fest has been here since half a century.

Campus Life

3.5

In college, much of what you learn about who you are and who you want to be takes place outside the classroom. During college, you will learn that there will be people who inevitably dislike you sometimes with good reason but other times without and you can kiss their butts all you’d like, but there is ultimately nothing you can do to change their mind. It’s not the end of the world; just learn to accept this, be cordial when you see them around campus (even if they return your friendly smiles with glares designed to terrify you), and make friends elsewhere.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

In view of limited hostel accommodations, the students should note that their admission to University does not guarantee allotment of hostel accommodation. Annual hostel charges are payable in advance at the time of allotment. It will be incumbent upon the student admitted to the hostel to join the mess and pay mess charges for three months in advance at the rates prescribed from time to time. Mess charges may be revised at any time due to escalation in the prices of food items. The Hostel mess will be managed on co-operative basis under the supervision of hostel authorities, on no profit-no loss basis. The University will provide infrastructural facilities and the manpower required to operate the mess.

Alumni/Alumna

We want to ensure that the next generation of leaders are better at crossing boundaries, sectors, specializations, geographies, generations, backgrounds and beliefs to tackle the problems of the world. Students, Leadership, Common Purpose students on a programme in Fudan so we partner with world-class universities and global corporations to run leadership programmes for both inbound and outbound university students. Our programmes equip students with Cultural Intelligence, an increasingly crucial leadership competency for this globalised, complex and interconnected world. The result is a global network of university students who can create change in the world around them—at university, in their cities and in their future careers.

Exam Structure

The papers have been redesigned to include more recent changes and developments in the concerned subjects. The papers in computer fundamentals and applications have been redesigned to introduce the student to packages required for statistical analysis and to enable the student to implement the techniques through computers, thus supplementing the quantitative papers. The core economics papers have been rationalized in their structure and sequencing wherein a broad idea of microeconomics and macroeconomic concepts and theories is introduced in the first and second semesters. The same is followed by a more detailed and in-depth knowledge of the subject in the third and fourth semesters. There has been a substantial increase in the quantitative techniques component of the course to equip stud ents v/ith the essential tools for business and economic analysis. In this regard Econometric and Operations Research have been introduced as essential papers. The course continues to expose students to the areas of finance, marketing and the legal structure within which businesses operate. Thus a fine balance has been maintained between the economic theory and practical business components. Five optional groups in finance, economics, quantitative techniques, marketing and project management and entrepreneurship provide the students a wide array of areas in which to specialize. These should help the student choose the area that are best suited to their interest and skill.

Admission

My record in and outside the high school classroom demonstrates to an admissions officer the kind of contributions he or she will make at the college level. Colleges are looking for candidates who perform consistently well or show a record of improvement in rigorous or college-prep courses. This means the right coursework, good grades, and activities that have a positive impact should be a continuous focus throughout high school. I was offered choice between two courses that was eco hons or B.com hons . But I preferred B.Com hons.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculam is well-structured and covers all the core subject relevant to the field . It help in building strong theroritcial knowledge but lacks enough real-world case studies and industry exposure . Exam are conducted regularly and are of moderate difficulty . Adding more project-based or skill oriented components would make the course more practical and beneficial for placements or higher studies .
