IIIT Pune is a good college

It is an autonomous institute of national importance under an act of parliament. It focuses more on practicals than theory. I got admission through CSAB on 25 November 2020 where they considered my JEE rank. I preferred this college over others because it was kind of convenient for me to go here, academics is okay but needs to improve as the fees they ask for isn't matching with the quality of education that they're providing.

I opted for CSE because CSE encompasses a variety of topics that relates to computation, like analysis of algorithms, programming languages, program design, software, and computer hardware. Computer Science engineering has roots in electrical engineering, mathematics, and linguistics. In the past Computer Science was taught as part of mathematics or engineering departments & in recent days it has emerged as a separate engineering field. In my batch, there are 7 faculties for 215 students. My classes are online right now due to pandemic therefore I can't exactly say how they teach us but they really need to improve their teaching skills. Maybe the interaction isn't good that we can't connect with them properly so it's kind of tough for us to understand the subjects. The exam was convenient for us because there was time for us to prepare for it and the questions were of moderate level.

Yes, they give internship opportunities but I don't have much knowledge about this. No idea if they give stipend. Nutanix, service now, FinIQ, Reliance Jio, LTI, MAC software, O9 solutions, ZS associates, Xebia are some of the companies that provide placements and internships to my college.

4th-year students are eligible for campus placements. The highest package was 40 lakhs and the average package is somewhere 9-10 lakhs. 80% of students get their placements. My plan is to find a good job according to my skills and which I would love to do.

IIIT Pune's academic fees are way too high, the kind of education and the facilities they provide doesn't match with the money they ask from us. Fees really need to be less than what we are paying. Actions should be taken to decrease the fees as we can get away better education in a government college in half of the fees that this college asks from us. I am supposed to get a scholarship through NSP this year and the upcoming years.

I have never been to my college due to pandemic and everything is going online so no idea about this. There are many social groups and clubs like Electric, Abhinay, E-cell and many more that I don't remember right now and they are quite good.
