Remarks
Good: placements are great, most of the faculty are knowledgeable, the XL culture is renowned and builds character, many committees for varied interests Bad: Administration is not sympathetic to the needs of students, fees are high XAT is more logical based, compared to CAT which is heavier on how much you have practiced. You may be able to crack XAT with very less prep if you have the right attitude and mindset. This is the best call I got, hence chose this college. I preferred it over my next best call, MDI Gurgaon based on discussions and reviews by existing students of the colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
The faculty-student ratio is good. There are a lot of faculties available. The curriculum is wide and teaches a lot of subjects. A lot of Electives are also available. Study materials are of high quality (mostly from HBR) Since we have had only online classes till now, the true potential of the faculties have not been exposed to us. However, based on senior reviews and own experiences, it is safe to say most faculty members are highly learned and of a high pedigree. However they are also very demanding, and students need to be very serious about their studies. The level of competition is also very high, and with relative grading, it is important o study very hard.
Internships Opportunities
The best roles are offered with all renowned companies' participation. Everyone gets a good summer internship role. An average stipend of 1.2 lakhs per month. Bain, BCG, accstrat, p&g, hul, Nestle, Amazon, etc.
Placement Experience
Great placements in consulting (Bain, BCG, Kearney, kpmg) marketing (p&g, itc, Nestle, Bajaj), and ops (tas, m&m, Amazon, etc). Finance, some top companies like JPMC and Goldman Sachs do come. Overall everyone gets placed with great packages
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is on the higher side, but at par with other institutions of similar quality (barring FMS) Overall, including accommodation and all other miscellaneous expenses, students can expect a pocket pinch of 24 lakhs in 2 years. However, banks rush in to provide loans, without any co-borrower or collateral. Scholarships are available, but rare. The fee hike was restricted this year by National regulatory bodies.
Campus Life
There are many committees: extracurricular, co-curricular, informal, etc which encourage all sorts of activities and campus life. No dearth of social life. However, I have had limited exposure myself due to the online curriculum. Books and journals are available in the library, in online forums as well.
Interview Experience
Yes, I faced a GD and an interview. GD topics are pretty generic. I attended some mock GDs arranged by my coaching institute (IMS). What is important is to provide a different perspective that is logical. The Interviewer must take notice of you out of all the other candidates.
