Remarks
Brilliant infrastructure, pan India crowd. Excellent exposure. Only at that point in time, IIM Indore was offering this kind of course. The admission was based on an entrance exam and interview. I came to know about this exam while I was preparing for CLAT in Career Launcher, Bhubaneswar. The entrance that year happened late and that actually worked in my favour as I was planning to take a drop year to prepare for Law Entrance Exam. The only demerit is probably the batch size of 600+ people which kind of tightens the tail end of placements and people are not able to land desirable jobs. Otherwise fantastic academia, great lifestyle on campus and excellent peer. There are multiple food joints on campus and some of them are student-run. Also, there are solutions to other amenities like laundry etc. The campus is a little in the outskirts of Indore and sometimes commuting to the city might be a time taking process, though hourly buses ply between the campus and multiple touchpoints.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this course as it seemed like a very well rounded and wholistic program in terms of the curriculum. The student to the teacher was 1:30. All the faculty are PhDs or Post Docs. Extremely qualified. Faculty taught using e-learning tools like PPTs on projectors, open-book exams in stats and quants were fun. The faculty is assisted by a teaching assistant. Exams were held timely and very systematically.
Internships Opportunities
College offers internships off-campus incorporates. The stipend I was offered was 20k/month with a Digital- Adventure Sports Aggregating platform. Worked on long-tail analysis, competition reports etc. The final project was submitted to the college.
Placement Experience
Students are offered PPOs post their summer internship in some cases but a majority of the bulk is placed during the final placement sessions during the 3rd trimester of the final year of MBA. Starts with lateral placements and continues for about 25-30 days until the last people are assisted in placements by the placement committee.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees since the time I joined college has increased by 30-40% is what I have heard. It should be around 30-40 lacs per annum. Student loans and directors scholarship is available for meritorious students. Also, students going out on student exchange are sometimes offered international scholarships based on their performance.
Campus Life
Plenty of clubs, societies and committees for people with varied interests. If one doesn't find a particular interest group, they can sure start a group affiliated to the idea of there own in accordance with the SAC approvals. Classrooms are all tech-ed up and posh. Sports infrastructure with trainers is available on campus with multiple activities to Indulge in. It also has an 8 lane Olympic size pool. Dramatics, Consulting, Trading, Entrepreneurship etc are some of the clubs run by students.
Hostel Facilities
Very nice hostels, majority of the blacks are newly built or refurbished in the near past. Hostel facilities are compulsory for all students enrolling for any program as it is a fully residential program.
Interview Experience
The process had a written exam and a PI. The written test was quant, puzzles, DI, and verbal ability. These were MCQs. People in 1:8 ratio are invited for the interview process at various locations. Finally, 120 people are selected, I was preparing with Career Launcher with a CLAT focus corse but give the entrance syllabus was exactly the same, it worked out for me.
