The college is a package worth having. Both in terms lomg term prospects and enjoyong the journey of the now. The college doesnt curtail individual freedom or bias against any individual. The college is large impartial and addresses womens safety and other stray animal issuee with great concern.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course itself is very diverse and immersive.The students have core courses in Statistics(theoretical and applied), advanced mathematics,english,foreign language,presentation skills,politics,psychology,sociology and a set of diverse and industry relevant electives that change every year.A year in IPM is divided into 3 terms of 32 credits each.A term will have midterms,endterms,projects,group assignmnets and class participation as criteria for evaluation.Endterms and midterms usually have the most weightage.
Placement Experience
The IPM program started in 2011 and the first batch passed out in 2016.IPM has always fared well in placements and has a 100% placement record at the end of 5 years.The IPM students are required to undertake a social internship under NGOs,CSR wings and other non profit organisations.The placements are enriching as they open us to the non business domain of business.The 4th year gives us Proper business internships under the summer internship system followed by IIMs.the packages are really great even extending to 2.5 lakhs for 2 months.
College Events
There are 2 manganement literary fests by the name of Atharv and IRIs conducted every year with more than 6k footfall.Ranbhoomi is the annual sports fest and Udaan is the annual marathon conducted for a social cause.There are also Uthsaha and the i5 summit conducted for marketing and entrepreneurship respectively.The cultural committee of IIM Indore ensures festivals of all 29 states are celebrated.From onam and pongal and ogadhi to ganesh chaturthi and holi everything in between is also well celebrated.Christmas and diwali are also celebrated.
Fee Structure And Facilities
All IIMs are costly but the material they license from harvard,stanford and other prestigious institutes is also costly.The fee structire is around 30lakhs for 5 years for IPM and 14 laks for the PGP program.
Fees and Financial Aid
The central bank of india, punjab national bank, allahabad bank and state bank of india offer upto 30 lakh rupees loan to finace the education under the student loan program. The institute also has a Need based financial assistance program that waivers fees for students from non affluent economic backgrounds.The institute also notifies students about state govt scholarships and backward community scholarships.
Campus Life
The institute has 2 fully functional gyms and a fully functional cricket stadium and 3 football courts. There is also a basketball court with proper demarcation and lighting.We have a psychology lab and internet access across the campus. IT and finance labs also have adequate software that we can use. The library is also a 3 storey building complete with essentials and core subject books. We have an olympic size swimming pool with women only times too.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are top notch. The boys hostel has an inbuilt badminton court and mini football court within. There are common rooms with Televisions installed and table tennis and carrom boards free for all. The hostel has houskeeping staff that clean the rooms everyday. The rooms are spacious with individual study tables and large cupboards lighting and maintenace is also spot on. Ambulance arrive within 2 mins of calling.
Alumni/Alumna
All 5 years of the IPM students are well connected during the duration of the course. This healthy relationship is carried forward in the years afer they pass out too. We approach oir seniors for resume iteration, feedback on academic grounds and co-curricular spheres. Admission
The IPMAT exam is the only way resident indians can get admitted to this program.The test is conducted along the lines of the CAT exam.It has multiple sections including a quantitative aptitude section,language aptitude and logical reasoning question.Students must have a strong grip in mathematics of 12th standard and language to crack the exam.
Faculty
The faculty are top notch and have qualifications and training from prestigious universities both within and outside the country.All of them are subject experts and very willing to help students who seek appointment. Many of the faculty religiously update themselves with changes in the pedagogy and contribute to journals of national and international acclaim.
