Iiitp review

I chose to take admission here because it has good brand value and also it was in the same city in which I lived so I didn't have to take any hostel facility. The college has a fair admission process, there is no management quota. Admission is done on basis of merit only. Currently, college is operating in its temporary campus so the facilities available are next to zero. Academically syllabus is good but they are short staffed on faculty part. The permanent campus is spreader over approximately 200 acres and is currently under construction and is expected to remain like this for next 4-5 years at least .

The faculties are well qualified, PhD is the minimum requirement to become a faculty here but they are short staffed .faculty student ratio is close to one is to 50. Teaching methods are also good..no problem is faced there. There are exams - two of twenty marks each and one sixty marks per subject per semester. Ever subject is allotted credits and final GPA is calculated according to it . Relative grading system is followed.

College provides internship both on and off campus and the majority of students get an internship by campus placement. The internship is compulsory in the fourth year. Even if you are average academically you will get an internship here on campus for sure.

Placements are pretty good in this college, this year first batch passed out. There were forty students of which majority are placed on campus with the highest package of thirty lakhs per year. Average package is twelve lakhs per year. I am planning to do masters in business administration after degree.

Academic fees are approximately two lakhs forty thousand rupees excluding hostel, for a hostel, there is another twenty four thousand required. All types of government scholarships based on quota and home state are there available. No scholarships are awarded on basis of merit.

There are two fests here, technical and cultural, both are of mediocre level not so big. There are lots of small clubs here related to music, literature, technical stuff, etc. The library is good for all types of information and books are available there. Classrooms are normal. Infrastructure overall is not good. It's very far from the city.
