Remarks

IHE is a pleasant college which will help one broaden subject-specific knowledge. Department of Biochemistry at IHE gives a full-fledged awareness about this modern science course. One can very easily find a niche in the scientific field with a vivid knowledge in the field of Biochemistry. The Microbiology elective enhances the whole process of charting a scholarly journey further.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because it is the mother of modern science. Biochemistry is essential for a science student, Teacher at IHE will help to propel students into thinking out of the box. Timely exams will help students review their performance.

Course Fees: INR 19000 per year

Placement Experience

Campus placements for Biochemistry are nil. Right after a B.Sc(Hons), MSc would be best either in Biochemistry or higher courses, Getting into a job with BSc be it from any college is not a good option.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee hike is probably is not worth it. There are no scholarships available especially for Biochemistry. Reagents and instrumentation are a major lacking in the labs, A full-blown laboratory experience is absent.

Campus Life

Campus as such is not so prominent at IHE. One can come to study and channelize their further career. But fest , art and other co-scholastic activities are not well addressed and promoted, One can definitely get involved with the societies and enhance the co-curricular aspect.

The students become eligible for placements after second year or even third year. Companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Maruti Suzuki, McKinsey, etc visited our college for placements and recieved over 200 placement offers in the latest year 2025. Highest package of Hindu College is 36.5 LPA and the average package is 11.4 LPA. Hindu College has a high placement rate of 95% of eligible students securing a placement here. My plan is to prepare for UPSC or SSC-CGL after my degree.

My choice for B.Sc. Hons Food Technology in this college was not due to limited options but instead of that I knew what career choices I wanted to make for the life that I manifest. I was getting admission in various other courses of different colleges but still I chose what was right for my career. The Institute of Home Economics- new but a legacy soon

It was not like that I wasn't getting admission in other colleges except this one but the chice that I made was majorly due to the career planning that I had done in the early stages. I chose this college because of the advanced facilities it provide and also it is easier to commute for me to the college and back to my home and vice versa. Everything you needaa know about your college.

I chose this college as it it ranked in the top 3 amongst the other 8 DU colleges which has this course. Also, the location i find it too convinient for me. This college has very limited courses so there are decent number of children. I got confirmed admission from Gargi College also but that college has a bad reputation for things.
