Remarks

College management keeps Students preference first. It's a student oriented college completely.

Entrance Preview

HR is undoubtedly the best commerce college in Mumbai. I didn't have to take any special entrance. Your 12th board score is the qualification pass to enter the world full of opportunities - HR college. I chose BCOM as it's very much suitable for people who are looking for a course that allows you to pursue career in marketing or accountancy

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It was really good the best part about B.Com in HR is that all the subject that Mumbai University provides for a B.Com applicant is available at HR which is not the case in most of the commerce colleges in Mumbai. The curriculum really makes you fit for your challenging work life after college.

Internships Opportunities

College does provide internship during summer with stipend ranging from 0 to 10K. Companies like - Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY and may others for different career fields.

Placement Experience

5

HR again bags an award for its excellent placement system. I got a Job in an HR consultancy (3.6L Pacakage PA) You need not worry about getting placed once in HR. The companies that visited college during 2014 - P&G, Big 4, Godrej, Zomato, Axis, JLL. many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It's not expensive at all. It would be very wrong to say cheap, I would say very inexpensive. Academic fees - 4500 py + Projects books - 1000 py + University books - 1500 Per semester. Overall HR is not a college which will push you to go for an Education loan, it offers best education in best prices.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender Ration 1:1 Campus Life we actually don't have campus but HR has best utilized the small assigned space. Extracurricular - Ample of opportunities for students to grow in their field on interest. The economic status of HR students in general is middle class to Upper middle class. We have many celebrities in HR.

Hostel Facilities

5

HR canteen is one of the best food spots in Mumbai. The cafe named Butterfly offers the best chinese in Mumbai. HR does not have its own hostel facilites but HR hostel committee help outsiders to find accommodation near the college area. They will find a room for every student in need.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are really helpful our successful alumni networks strengthens the placement opportunities.

Exam Structure

We have online Internals - 20 marks each subject per semester written projects - 10 marks each subject per semester 10 Marks for your attendance and class participation or participation in club activities written exam of 60 marks each subject per semester.

Admission

I had to apply to HR which is affiliated to Mumbai University by submitting a form. Your form has your 12th board exam score which is one of the biggest qualification pass - merit seat. Others being those quotas - cultural, sports, etc. There were 3 list that went live 3 consecutive weeks after the form submission deadline. I made it to the second list with 88.4% in 12th CBSE. I had to visit HR college the very next day of the list being put up. I filled all the university mandatory forms, paid my first year fee. Got the semester project books based on the subjects I mentioned in the form. ID cards were distributed and date of joining was June 27 or June 28 2014.

Faculty

5

The faculties are one of the best in Education field. They focus more on practicality than what's there in our old books which haven't been changed for ages. The faculty have a great reputations, they are really good speakers. They are people who you really look upto and set great examples for their students. Teachers are friendly and very cooperative.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

De Shaw, and Bain Capital are among the biggest companies and lighter companies are also many. Visa and all are also there which are rare otherwise. For b.com though 30-40k is what is offered but I feel it's fair enough.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
