Remarks

Bad marks- infrastructure, update needed curriculum and subjects, choice of elective is a hazzle, politics Good-faculty, peace, freedom, etc.

Entrance Preview

I took part in KERALA ENGINEERING AND MEDICAL ENTRANCE EXAM 2013(KEAM2013). Scored 254 marks out of 960 and secured a rank of 5000. Calicut is a nice place, as well the college had a well background in university exam results in the exams conducted by calicut university, as the college is affiliated to Calicut university.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

It's just since I believe there are unnecessary portions in the syllabus as well the university syllabus needs to update to keep up with emerging technology and techniques. Also the selection of course electives are limited to 3 even though the variety and availability of elective is more than 20. It's just a disappointment i cannot even chose an elective as per my wish I was only supposed to take electives as suggested by my professors.

Internships Opportunities

This is one of the disappointment I faced ever since my admission to the college the curriculum if Calicut university itself doesn't provide a space and time for the students to do so even externally.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement and job is a field where the college is just satisfactory. As a government institution, one expect the establishment to have a better placement capability. Even though the placement cell is an active wing, the companies are not well interested in coming due to the limited space and infrastructure of the institute. It was informed by the officials that about 108 students were placed last session. Major companies were infosys, UST global, eureka forbes, synthite, etc.

College Events

3.5

Not much festivals but still some to enjoy. First of all, RIOGA2014 is my favorite as it unwraps the mechanic and auto enthusiast in one. It was such a spectacular treat, with many automobiles in the expo, participants in the gaming zone and after all DJ party for all. Then there were college art fests, DRISYA AND LAKSHAYA. Lakshya was a techno cultural fest with vast participation from various colleges especially for rob war end roborace cultural fest also had participants from neighboring states also(from coimbatore,TN).

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is plausible, receptive end just awesome with just over 9000 RS an year, the fees was found highly acceptable for all people further the scheme of dividing the fee into 2,one 5500 in the odd semester and rest in the even semester is a very reliable program.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are both scholarship and loan facility loan facility is implemented as per fees structure and student academic requirement like project and laptop etc. Scholarship are awarded by the university for the top student, and many other form central and state government.

Campus Life

2.5

Everything is just ok there is nothing much to boast off. Campus life is awesome, have a good gender ratio nearly 50:50. Labs could be more innovative, sports is one area of failures of the institute. As there a limited availability for space and infrastructure. Extra curricular activities and others could be well propogated.

Hostel Facilities

2

The hostel facility is just available for girls only it was found that, not all applicants found space in the provisioned hostel, which is the only limitation distance to travel safety, quality of mess food, cleanliness and all are found to be ok and had not much issues regarding them.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni has been of inevitable help as they bring better fortune to institute by providing alumni fund, reconstruction of infrastructure, routing many companies to placement cell, and as well helping students vy sharing experiences and information about emerging trends.

Exam Structure

Exams structure is just cool. Nothing so much hectic to explain. Lab exams were also flawless. There no much disputes and problems regarding the exams and labs. Sometimes the lab were founded conjusted not much trouble's in the exams. Lab exams are organized in such a way that it won't make any hazzles to major exams.

Admission

I secured admission after passing KEAM 2013 in this college. Had went through a series of process. First of all, got a print out of allotment memo from commissioner KEAM FROM THE official website. Went to college, on the day of allotment and done procedures as per instructions like remittting fees, filling personal details with proof, providing my previous academic qualification certificates.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty available are exceptionally well qualified as well are aware of emerging techniques. They are also keen of developing good abilities to their student as well are very helpful and supportive in studious matters. However regarding the project and assistance, they are not much interested in promoting students to do new topics in field.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are highly volatile taking the stats from over the past three years there has been an up trend as well a down trend, I hope I will get placed through on campus interviews, the highest package of this year was for two graduates who got into IBM with 22 lakhs per aanum, there are few who didn't get into any of the companies while there were others who got int Amazon and other reputated companies, if I do not get into a reputed company through my college on campus placements the. I'll be aiming for higher educations most probably
