National Institute of Fashion Technology , kannur (NIFT) is located in Kerala , south india. It is a govt college founded under ministry of textile, govt of india. I belong to kerala state so this college was my first choice and i give the entrance exam and alloted Fashion Technology course.
Course Curriculum Overview
In NIFT students are selected through an entrance test. They have to give Creative Ability Test(CAT) followed by General Ability Test(GAT).selected students in the exam have to give Situation Test. there after final ranking of the students at all india level is released. students alloted seat have to undergo a counselling process to select their programme. course is mostly practical.
Placement Experience
Campus have high rate of placement in fashion industry. 90% of students after completion of course got placement. Students got placement through centralised placement conducted for NIFT students in different part of the country. most recruiting companies are AND design, Arvind Brand , BlackBerry Clothing and so on.
College Events
NIFT campus was set up on 10 acre of land. There is a hostel for boys and girls, library in which we find all books related to our course. campus have computer lab, weaving lab, surface design lab , pattern making lab, testing lab, CAD lab, resource centre for all departments. students from all over the states come . we can meet a lot of people here.
