Relevance should be 8/10.The course covers essential topics in English literature, language,and media studies, preparing students for various careers in journalism and publishing, content writing and editing,teaching and research, digital media and communications, public relations and advertising,etc. Comprehensive: 7.5 This course curriculum covers English literature, language and linguistics, communication and journalism and critical thinking and research skill

Teaching practices,this department uses innovative methods like group activities and project work etc and it covers a wide range of topics in English literature, language and media studies.the college encourages research activities and published several papers and books in the field of English and Media Studies. We had internship with news channel which represents media we had to work and learn from them and its really helps encourage students who are interested in journalism. so we can apply or interview with media companies not only in news channels but also in every aspect of the media department.

I got allotment as merit seat and so I have fee consitions and financial aid .For me 3000 rs for admission fee and overall fees other catagory students payment fee varies rather than me.I do have tution fee , student fee , university fee in each acadamic year . Those fee will be under 1500.But I had the financial aid in each acadamic year,so I paid those amount from the aid.Other students have also have scholarships and financial aids considered from their catagory. I had fee consition for exam registration fee and other catagory students had to pay upto 500-600 rs for each semester.

When we complete our admission process they will oragnise a welcome ceremony for the students.They welcome all the students And there parents to the the space with flowers and prayers and the principal and all the members and teachers senior students will welcome speech and performs many programs .so it's really a wonderful day for me and I do memories the movements even now. Also then ther is many programs like cultural, exhibition and fests were conduct there . Students and teachers will be organise the overall programs conducted there.we almost celebrate each and every special day or occasions. Onam , Christmas and college day these are the main occasions that we celebrate massively.there is also a fest called Xavier fest conducted by the college management.

This particular course is only in st.xaviers college thumba trivandrum.thats the main reason .other colleges do have media studies but not with English .And like I said the college ambiance is great.its also little far away from my home so I have to travel daily and after one year me and my friends rented a home for us and its an memorable experience for me.i also applied many colleges but I got allotment only in this college in the 3rd allotment and so I only have the option to permanent admission. The admission process is really organised and also time consuming .the faculties were so efficient and they told the entire infos and everything we need .if there is any error or something they also sort out the issue and they were really responsible and precise in their part as they need to act.

There is around 900-1000 students and 40 - 50 faculties in our college so the faculty to student ratio will be 1:20 I guess. I like overall faculties in my department because each of them are understanding ,matured, open-minded, friendly .so we students don't have any stress from them. In other departments also had many such faculties in each department.also there many strict,rude members also there I don't want to mention there names .like in everything there is good and bad so it's okay for me.My course is really fresh and exciting for me.so each exam is easy to attend and the chance to fail is too less. my course is English and media studies so I get two degrees at a time. So we can choose professions more easily and with media studies the opportunities are really high.
