Remarks

Brilliant return of investment, experienced faculty,studious environment.In this college I have found every opportunity I wanted.Well organised library, central library, departmental library.Good quality food in canteen. Our seniors are very helpful and well qualified.

Course Curriculum Overview

Well organised and future oriented curriculum with modern equipments and vast library,very good return of investment. Teachers are well qualified and very helpful.Application of biology and chemistry in this curriculum is the beauty of this course.

Our college has our dedicated journal, every year we celebrate cultural and science-innovation oriented festivals.Very enjoyable college life. No tough rules and regulations. College entry time exit time and 70%attendance is not applicable here

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome.Beautiful natural beauty and studious environment give me motivation. Big field,big ponds, flower garden everything is in its best. I personally recommend every student to join this college and savour the beauty of learning.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is more than enough, only 25 rupees per month. First two years one should share one room with three others. Last two year one should share with one friend. Hostel rooms are pretty good. Airy and study oriented.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
