Remarks

It's a renowned institute. It has great faculty and has achieved excellence over the years. My seniors had recommended this college to me and it has been almost a dream come true to be a part of this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties were helpful. They have helped us throughout the time and provided us with required notes. The syllabus was provided to us on the intial days of us joining the college. However we were the first batch of the chnaged curriculum, CBCS so we did have problem in the detailing of the syllabus and still do.

Class Size: 46Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Placement Experience

We do get good placements, although subjectively speaking. Notable alumnis are doing well that we have heard of.

College Events

There are few cultural events that our college holds. Like exhibition, blood donation,spprts and annual events. Alot of students participate in them and there is a lot of encouragement from the teachers.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

One of the Best college in India.

I had applied for Ashutosh college, Muralidhar college, bethun college and Gokhale Memorial Girl's College for BSC psychology. But I did not get BSC psychology in bethune college so I was waiting for other colleges though my dream college was Gokhale Memorial girls College. First I had got a call from Muralidhar college and then after 2 to 3 days I got a call from vocal Memorial girls College. By call I meant that first my name came in the Muralidhar girls College merit list and then my name was published in the Gokul Memorial girls College merit list as this is my dream college I choose it over other colleges. So I don't regret my decision because, this college has excellent professors and great labs for practicing psychological practicals. Do not go by the past glory.

The admission was smooth, but in the payment process, I didn't get my money back from few colleges I applied for but didn't continue. All the candidates should keep an update of news and links of admission. SC and ST will get benifits along with OBCs, Calcutta University has bad placements and the syllabus has become a Little bit difficult.
