Remarks

Good for research and value for money. It is located in a good environment. The faculties have a good feedback and the projects going on in the field of research are good and the grants are good. The hostel facilities were also up to the mark and very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is well designed keeping in mind the national entrance exams for higher education. The curriculum includes a compulsory internship and also a visit to an industrial site making education more industry oriented. The faculties are very supportive and reachable at all times.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement opportunities are good. Recently Nestle had visited the college for placement. Infosys and TCS are other mass recruiters. Adobe is also a recruiter. The alumni network is very strong with a great interaction between the alumni, faculties and current students. Webinars are organised to bring the alumni and the current students on a common platform.

College Events

4

The cultural and technical events are organised by one or the other department every semester. All the events include both academic and extracurricular activities. The events are well co-ordinated by the student body and the faculties together.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement of IIIT UNA is good. The highest package of 2023 in IIIT Una was 60 lpa(off campus) and 45 lpa (on campus) . The average pakage was 15 lpa , and around 90 % of the student got placed, during the placement drive. The average pakage of IT department was 16 lpa. A full semester is dedicated for internship and to earn work experience. Many companies like Google, Facebook, nvidia,Amazon etc appeared into placement drive.I am also targeting such FANG companies.

Reviewed on Nov 27, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

### **Rating the Course Curriculum at HIET Shahpur** The course curriculum at **Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET), Shahpur**, aligns with the guidelines set by **Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU)**. While it provides a solid foundation in engineering concepts, there are notable gaps in terms of modern relevance and industry readiness. --- ### **1. Relevance and Comprehensiveness** #### **Positives**: - **Foundational Knowledge**: The curriculum emphasizes core engineering principles and technical subjects. It provides a good theoretical grounding, particularly in traditional branches like Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering. - **Breadth of Topics**: Subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and core engineering courses ensure a strong base for students, making it suitable for those aiming to pursue higher studies or competitive exams. - **Structured Progression**: The curriculum follows a logical flow from basic concepts in the first year to specialized topics in later semesters, ensuring students grasp fundamental knowledge before diving into advanced topics. #### **Negatives**: - **Outdated Content**: The curriculum lacks integration of modern, high-demand fields like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Computing, and IoT, which are now essential in engineering education. - **Limited Practical Exposure**: While labs are part of the curriculum, the equipment is often outdated, and the focus is more on theory than hands-on learning or real-world problem-solving. - **Elective Choices**: The range of elective subjects is limited, which restricts students' ability to explore interdisciplinary interests or niche areas within their field. --- ### **2. Influence on Decision to Join the Course** The choice of this course is often influenced by: - **Affordability**: The fee structure is economical compared to private institutions in metropolitan areas. - **Core Engineering Focus**: Many students choose HIET Shahpur becau

Himachal Pradesh National Law University - [HPNLU], Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Law [BALLB] {Hons.}
Reviewed on Nov 26, 2024(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university provides the UG students with the choice of streams consisting of BA.LL.B, B.B.A.LL.B of 5 years and for PG students: Ph.D and LL.M. B.A.LL.B (Hon.s) is an integrated course of Bachelors of Arts and Law. It is a comprehensive and an edge-providing approach if one wishes to register themselves in examinations like judiciary and public services as the subjects and their core matter are similar to what one shall prepare during their study hours for the same such as Political Science, Sociology, History, Psychology etc. The political science classes are a unique aspect of HPNLU as these shall have you at the edge of your seat throughout, while bombarding you with information from various perspectives. You shall learn and have a lot of fun in his class, both in academics as well as life. The curriculum sits fine as it is for first years, however extra-curricular activities during the lectures should be encouraged and workshops or additional classes for guidance shall be taken to soothe the brainstorming and unsettles minds of the first years, however this applies to all colleges. The examination is mostly conducted on alternative dates therefore students easily prepare accordingly, the difficulty level except for a few subjects is on the easier side.
