Remarks

I chose this college because it is the top ranked college of Panjab University Chandigarh. It has great faculty. There are many extra curricular activities. The crowd is pretty good. As the city Chandigarh is really good, there are many growth opportunities present.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is really good. You tend to gain a low of knowledge, practical as well as theoretical. You'll find the top notch faculty here. The faculty is very experienced. Course syllabus is updated accordingly time to time.

Course Fees: INR 68000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements suffer a bit. You won't really get many good job profiles here. Companies do visit the campus but with not so great profiles. There is no assurance of 100% placement. Students are liable to themselves for there placements. College doesn't take the headache for the placement department.

College Events

Campus life is very awesome. There are many sports events conducted. The college has its own fashion designers team, modelling team, dance team and bhangra team which is updated every year where freshers are given the opportunity to showcase there talent. Annual fests are conducted which are always a big hit.

- from sixth semester, some seniors have received the PPOs - companies like apple,bmw,mahindra,paytm, hire -%placement is not that good, its 55-60% for mechanical and 85-90% for CSE -highest is 60-65lpa as latest and average is 12-13lpa -plans are getting a placement , if not, i will do mtech from abroad

Inside of PGI chandigarh from bsc nursing point of view.

Placement Experience:

Students from 4rth year are eligible for placement. Pgi provide job for it's own students. Bond system is here. Students can apply for foreign jobs as pgi provide their degree and a sheet with completed number of hours as in clinical we need 100% attendance. Students who don't want to work in pgi can go to different hospitals as pgi is a recognized university they will get job easily. 80% students get job in pgi. As many new blocks are building here for future, they will require large amount of nursing officers so they will give job to their own university students. Some senior got their job with a high amount as salary with health benefits, hostel allowanc, travel allowance, and tax is included. Working hour are less here, people can switch there shifts with there workmates as per there convince. My plan is to work here as a nursing officer and do my master degree from pgi itself.

Elgibility was easy as people for any background rather say commerce , arts , non medical or medical . College doesnt have any entrance exam for admission.Students are admitted through centralized admission under DHE chandigarh. Punjab university offers admission to those students those have good grades in class 12th. HONEST REVIEW BY OF GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH BY A STUDENT

Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
