Remarks

Very renowned college in city of Kolkata. Overall faculty is very good. You get a proper college life feeling in its Saltlake Campus. Well organized library and labs. Very good placements in top department like CSE & IT. The average placement of college is also very good like around Rs. 5.5 - 6 LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course Curriculum is upto date as in this college we follow AICTE curriculum. Academic is very good for overall development many programs have been organised by college in regular intervals to keep busy students in growing themselves. In this manner Faculties are very supportive teacher are ready to help out of any situation.

Course Fees: INR 483000 per year

Placement Experience

Placements for top departments is very good like students CSE, IT, ECE. The highest package as per official record in this year wbjee site is around Rs 25 LPA. The core department students generally move towards Gate and MBA or various other exams. Companies like Microsoft, Intel, Deloitte, Adobe come to college for placements. At last the average package is Rs 5.5 - 6 lakhs.

College Events

Campus Life is good from cultural to technical events everything is upto the mark. Our technical event EDGE is the second largest technical event in North Eastern India various guest from different sphere came to college some of the past guests are Zakir Khan, RJ Praveen, Anand Kumar Sir and many more. Our cultural fest ANAKHRONOS invited very popular guest from the field of music, rock band & many more. Apart from this we have literary and NSS club; the prime focus of literary club ECLECTICA is to develop you as complete man. It promotes events like Poetry, Debate, Rap, Quiz and many more. The NSS Club SAMARITANS helped under privileged people in every possible ways like giving them food, clothes and book. We have every year collection drives where we donate different kind of materials for the social welfare. We also do silent rally for spreading awareness. Apart from all we have very active E Cell we one get excellent guidance and various support to make their ideas into reality. For extracurricular activities there are sports like chess, carrom, cricket, football, if one technical activities then he may go to our technical club GEEKONIX. This club organises various events in field of robotics, bridge making, DIY model designing, Photography, Electrical Circuit Designing, Robotics, Coding and many more. Once you come you will surely enjoy all this.

The everyday journey

Likes

I liked the campus . Their people and faculties are too great , they are also helpfull
The other thing i liked here is the play ground where students play with full of their energy and many game events are organised ocationally
The other thing i liked is the library where everyone use to study silently with poking others

Dislikes

Bad benches , like benches are too small to be fitted in our class I
In our department ac doesn’t work properly

Nothing specific just the campus attracted me Curriculum is preparing me for the real world approach and its doing good enough the academic pursuits is good Teachers should teach in a good way so that every student should understand Frequently the timing of exam is 3 hrs but sometimes it takes 1 hrs

The Techno Experience

Likes

Practical Exposure with hands on training is always good for personal growth
The laboratories were well equipped with state of the art instruments
Entrepreneurship was encouraged and it really helped us with designing future start ups.

Dislikes

Lack of scholarships for the needy is one thing that needed to be worked on.
There was a distinct lack of encouragement to pursue extracurricular activity.
Sometimes it felt like it would have helped if we had a mental health counsellor onboard with the department.

Placement Experience:

Techno India University has a strong campus placement. Several students got jobs during the last semester, and I am one of them. Some others choose to wait for better opportunities. Some joined good startups. The package was nominal as we were all freshers. After getting my degree, I planned to pursue corporate experience and then join a lab for my PhD.

Likes

Faculties are helpful and kind and the classroom environment is healthy
Classroom, labs and libraries have proper infrastructure
Certificates are provided for participating in conferences or extracurricular activities

Placement Experience:

Placement is provided in final year . Average package offered is 3 to 4 lpa . Paid internship is provided in 3rd year and the placement percentage is more or less ok. After complication i will either pursue Msc or look for a job.

They provide you with various oppertunities like exposure visits, seminar , worshops, etc.

Dislikes

Labs are not well maintained the machines are very slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Study pressure is not that much it will be sufficient to stu61 months before final exam
No strict college there is not compulsory to wear college uniform
Faculty are good they are supportive helpful

Dislikes

College campus is small infrastructure is not good
Placement and internship opportunities is very less
Number of students in each batch is more

Curricullum is quite ok crowd of students are more coding culture should be introduced need of improvement of infrastructure as well in my batch 2023 to 2027 there is total 3 exam in each semester including end sem and 2 test

Likes

Faculty is really good and helping they do help !
Labs are taken on time and is made clear to us very well
Teacher are very good and friendly for us

Dislikes

I disliked the fact that the rooms get too hot during sumer
There should have been one ac that could have turned on in classes during hot , except smart class room and auditorium
Nothing as much , some little stuffs that are everywhere nowadays in college

Exams are generally spaced well throughout the smemstwr allowing adequate time for preperation , how ever the frequenxy can sometimes be overwhelming particulary during peak study periods , but the diffulty level isnt that concerning and they are easy

Placement Experience:

The University Provides Placements options for the students from the 3rd Semester onwards. For the Department of Geography Companies like - GeoDesign and Research PVT. Limited, Wipro, Acadecraft Pvt limited, Cactus etc. are there as recruiters with an average package of 3 LPA. University takes a target to 100 % placement among then almost 60% are placed and rest of the students mainly go to the research field.
