Remarks

It is amongst the best colleges in Kolkata under Calcutta University. Moreover, it is a government college. The staff is experienced and the student to faculty ratio is great.

great faculty: student ratio. 4 professors to teach a class of 27. the professors are well qualified and stand well up to the expectations.

Being a government college the fees is a minimal amount of Rupees two thousand for 2 semesters. apart from that there are various scholarships for girls.

the infrastructure is pretty good and the website id is well maintained. the college takes part in various fests as well.

Days well spent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was well-structured, and each semester, there were projects and presentations that also helped to test our knowledge. I got influenced as the curriculum provides us with financial economics, political economics, and Applied mathematics. The level of the exams was decent, related to the course. They could improve in teaching more practical knowledge and projects related to that, instead of only learning in a theoretical way.

Placement Experience:

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

The avarage package for placed students is around 240000 per year.so as l come from the economics department I have access to the internships form college.
