Remarks

1. The placement is outstanding especially for the CSE and IT branch. For other branches, it is decent. Sometimes core companies (for any branch )do not visit the campus still the students are good enough to crack the IT companies that visits the campus,or they crack the core companies by applying offcampus. 2. NIRF Ranking of the college is under 10. It even beats few IITS. 3. Ample opportunities are there in the field of research. 4. RETURN OF INVESTMENT -- In terms of ROI i guess it is India's best college. I mean u just have to pay nearly 11000 for whole course and in turn get a well paid job.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course was totally updated as compared to last batch. We were not provided with any industrial exposure. Faculties are highly qualified in their subject.

Course Fees: INR 11420 per year

Placement Experience

Big tech giants visits each year in our college for internships and placements like amazon, microsoft, codenation, DE shaw, Adobe etc.For non CS / IT branch student he/she has to qualify a screening test to appear in the internship as well as the placement program. Alumni network is very strong. E-cell is works actively.

College Events

The technical(3 days long) and cultural fest (10 days)are organised on a large scale and participation in them is very easy and not a single amount is to be paid to participate.Students from any college are free to participate in the bunch of events that are held.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is not so good but the food provided by the mess is good. There are two campuses of the college so fee depends on that. My campus is Salt Lake campus where monthly hostel fee is nearly Rs1700/month(it varies) + Rs 25(room rent + electricity) Hostel seats are very few and they are alloted on various factors like distance from home, family income(most important). A proper interview is done to select students for room allotmennt.

Shaping My Future: A Comprehensive Review of College Life and Academics

Placement Experience:

After 7th semester companies started coming and there is different criteria for different companies like some company have criteria for more then 8.5 cgpa will be able to seat only in their placement conducting it is totally based on company preferences. The highest package was 9 lpa and average package was 3 lpa. Around 60 percent student get placed in my department.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent.
