Remarks

I preferred to take Electronics as my stream with somewhere which had a good research base and was close to my home. Hence Jadavpur University ticked all the boxes. Also I was interested in arts and aesthetics and photography from a very young age and JU has a culture which would've enabled me to pursue that as well.

Course Curriculum Overview

I think although the faculties and the academic structure is very well planned out in our college, it's a bit outdated when it comes to the course curriculum. There are subjects which needn't be taught and others that can be taught in its place. The curriculum bears down hugely to UGC guidelines as well.

Class Size: 79Course Fees: INR 10750 per year

Placement Experience

The placement is exceptional and unparalleled. The placement process is controlled fully by student and hence there is no lack of communication which results in absolute best placement.

College Events

The campus life is something unparalleled and unimaginable when you think from the outside. The fest is one of the largest extravaganza you see in the city. The alumni student relationship is absolutely brilliant and the essential politics is also very well practiced.

Campus Life

Although, labs and wifi is sufficiently available, I think the lab equipments can be modernized if the government properly invests in the facilities. Also the library can be vastly expanded to keep books that actually are in demand.

from 6th semester the student become eligible for campus placement.Companies like google ,microsoft , apple etc visit the campus.the highest package offered around would be 50 lakhs and lowest would be 5 lakh.around 70 percent of the student get placed.i want to get placed and do the job then slowly i want to start my editing agency.

The placement of the college is not that much which I expected but not also very bad the highest package of the college is around 51 lack and the average package is like 11-12 lack and the median of the college is 10 lack pretty much good and placement percent is around 88 percent of students placed every year

The campus placement is good. A lot to sales and marketing roles are offered every here. Apart from that you can join Research and Development roles and NGOs. The avarage package is around 4LPA. Every year around 30% students get placed. Rest go for higher studies and entrepreneurship. Highest package varies around 6LPA & lowest varies around 3LPA.

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. Not a review but a suggestion of a Vaiya

I prefer Jadavpur University over other colleges as it provides better jobs,better ways for bigger achievements, world-wide connections through professors and chances to be part of great projects and ideas. To be honest I haven't applied for any other colleges through the admission process under WBJEE and got selected in Jadavpur in the first attempt. The admission process of Jadavpur Univesity is done through counselling under WBJEE board and based on the merit in basis of score got in the WBJEE exam. The cutoffs are usually high compared to other colleges in West Bengal and students can get admission only through the WBJEE exam. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score. The cutoff in the internal exam is around 70% for General Category and for CUET, the cutoff varies yearly....Read More
