Remarks

The college gives freedom to express and gives access to various platforms. Moreover it has a lot of sports opportunities. The overall attitude and environment is fantastic. The college provides unique facilities and gives access to other utilities.

Course Curriculum Overview

The entire journey of the learning process was mesmerising. We learn a lot in practical life coming across different professors and teachers and students. It gives a sense of understanding which otherwise would not be possible

Placement Experience

5

After College placements are necessary and we are grateful how our college have them covered. We have the best of departments come in contact with us selecting us and this is due to the goodwill formed over the years by our alumni.

College Events

5

It was fantastic. The very exposure to the outside world and representing our college had its own pride. We felt like characters wanting to express ourselves. The extracurricular life in Jai Hind is really motivating and full of ambition thus seeking true artists.

Campus Life

It is huge and thus allows a lot of exposure for athletes as well as performing arts is enhanced with well a equipped auditorium and a stage like foyer. The classrooms are huge and can accommodate a lot of people thus providing a studying opportunity to them.

Placement Experience:

Final year students become eligible for campus placements from semester 5. There are quite a lot of companies that visit. From companies in the Big 4 to Taj, Wipro etc. I did not sit for campus placements so I am not sure about the number of offers made, salary packages and percentage of students getting placed as well. My plan after getting my degree is to pursue Master's in Business Management.

Placement Experience:

The college told us that when you complete the 5th semester means half of 3rd year then you eligible for campus placement. I don't know any companies because college doesn't tell us which companies are coming on-campus placement. One of my 3rd year friends tells me that he got a package of 3.5 lakh per annum. The college giving placements to toppers first then to middle range students. After the degree I am going to take a banking exam and then work in bank it's my plan right now.

Remarks:

Smt. Mmk college of commerce and economics is an A graded college by NAAC. It has amazing faculty members teaching a subject they are an expert in. The bachelors of commerce degree is a basic graduation degree that I am pursuing and usually people opt for this while they are pursuing another professional course such as CA or CS or just haven't quite figured out what to do yet. At smt.mmk college of commerce and economics the placements that we are presented with after the completion of the degree are in association with some of the best companies in the country including aditya birla, etc. I personally opted for this course because I had no clue what I want to pursue, but here at mmk they guide you throughout your career decisions and also have various seminars based on career development, etc. Currently I am also pursuing an ACCA degree ( Association of chartered certified accountant). This was only possible with the guidance of the faculty members available at smt. Mml college of commerce and economics. Another reason as to why I opted for this college would be that it has a less need for attendance which is in most colleges around 75% but mmk grants you an attendance of only 50% which helps most of us manage two courses together or even do an internship along with the degree.

I was a student of KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce. College is autonomus now and the exams paper are set by college & not university. Faculty is good. Campus is excellent. Once you leave the college, you will miss everything from lectures, 4 ways, maggi house, management canteen, IV etc. Management students do have placements in good companies. (BMS, BBI, BFM, BAF) So, in short it is a good college with decent students & faculty.

Remarks:

It is a government college so the staff can be a little lethargic. But there are a few good people too. You have to find them of course, but they are there. The office is like any other government office, but they are efficient, know their work and the work gets done. Thankfully, you only ever have to queue up once or twice a year for fees and the like, but otherwise the college functions like clock work. I had no trouble with anybody whatsoever. In face, I have eaten with one of the staff members in his home alongside (just behind the college.) Just goes to show, if you are friendly enough, they can be friendly too.
