Remarks

Few bad points now If you want to earn money and if money gives you satisfaction then don't join this college. There are many formalities to be done for every small thing. For instance the examination form is very lengthy and requires ample time. Hostel is not open for day scholars and if day scholars have to stay in the hostel that too I there is an urgent need then payment has to be done. During fest hostel is open for day scholars but only if you have hostel friends. Sometimes it can be difficult to deal with the pressure as this course is extensive and requires a lot of effort time and dedication but the output is worthy.

Entrance Preview

There is no entrance exam. Admission happens based on the 12th percentage. I scored around 75% in 12th ad easily got admission in the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum was comprehensive interesting and diverse. The curriculum was made keeping in mind all round development of the student. There is so much to learn not only as theory but everything taught in theory is complimented with practical understanding.

Internships Opportunities

The students have to find organisations for internships on their own. Teachers can just refer them. There is no placement cell. The stipend depends on the organisation you do your internship. Internship is compulsory in 3rd year. Before that it depends on the student.

Placement Experience

3

There is no placement cell. So after the completion of the course the student have to hung for a company on its own. The package varies from as low as 10k to as high as 40k. Mostly a masters is required before getting into job. Without a masters it gets difficult to find a job and it is not even recommendable.

College Events

4.5

Many events happen in an year including fresher's,farewell, fresher's and farewell happens twice one from students union and another from teachers, independence day, sports day,3 day long gets, pre fest sometimes dandiya night, founders dag etc. In all the events all the students are welcome to participate. Prizes are distributed on founders day to toppers in academics and co-curricular. For 1 year orientation programme, parents day and other events happen.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible given it is a govt college and under university of Delhi. Students from disadvantaged background can also avail scholarships.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarships for students whose family cant afford their studies. The amount on the scholarship depends on the family background. Proper form submission and interview happens to avail scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

College life is awesome. No one can forget the experiences this college provides. Many competitions happen throughout the year and are open for students. Its a girls college and many cultural events happen. Based on the department many seminars and workshops happen to facilitate learning of theoretical concepts. Every type of girl can be found in college from the elitist society to the lower strata from introverts to extroverts from every religion and no racism or discrimination happens in the college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are awesome and most of the times remain clean. The food is fine. Food also depends on the contractor. There are some rules and regulations to be followed which is to ensure girls security. The area in which the college is located is safe. Hostel life is a life time experience. Hostel fees is not extravagant.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni events happens once a year every year. There are facebook page through which alumnus are connected. The seniors in the college are mostly helpful but there are also some fussy ones. But its fine no ragging regulation helps juniors to stay safe. College is open for its students always. Even today many a time I go to college with my friends and relive the past experiences.

Exam Structure

An internal and external exams happen. The exams happen as per the age old rules. 3 hours exam and the date sheet is prepared by the university. Old question papers can be found in the library. BTW the library of the college is very extensive. Most of the subjects have a theory and a practical exams. Practical's are fun though theories at times can become boring.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college is one of its best. They allow the student to grow at their own pace and learn. They allow the students to explore and expose them with real life reality. The subjective experiences of students are always taken I to consideration and classes unfold accordingly. They are always there for help and guidance. They facilitate the learning with hands on activities. They allow the knowledge to absorb before jumping onto another topic. They have their own favourites and that is human nature. They are also strict if the student is irresponsible.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The core subjects are very well divided, the main problem arises with the other additional subjects which requires efforts as same as the other subject even though they don't hold any importance as such. Maybe reducing other subject or making them practical based instead of theory based would be helpful.

The placements of my college are moderate as the average package is ?6.5 lakhs and the highest package is around ?23.02 lakhs . Many prestigious companies like delloite, accenture have held various placement sessions in DRC and it's overall a good to place for companies to get high skilled students. The placement cell is very active too which makes it possible for our college to get many internships and placements opportunities.

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

Placement Experience:

The placements cell Avenues regarding the placement offers coming to the college. Major companies of the job market come to the campus for recruitment like KPMG, deloitte, zepto, EY, ZS Associates and many more. The students from the final year itself gets eligible for placements. Around 30-40% students get the palcements through the placement drive. The highest package during the last palcement season was around 18 to 20LPA, while the average was 7 to 8LPA. I will certainly go for higher studies in operational research.
