It's a premier institute in Kolkata and it's also the best for economics. Also the cost of the course is very pocket friendly. The institute will add to my CV. Also there is a campus life here. The canteens offer a variety of food options at reasonable prices. Overall it's a great package for a student opting for higher education in this institute.

The course curriculum is highly updated and tailored to make the students ready for the industry. It focuses more on the applications of the theory taught which gives the students a better insight into the subject matter. The professors here are stalwarts in their own field. The course is very diversified and each area of economics are dealt with great depth.

The companys coming to hire students on campus are very renowned. The company's are CITI India, HSBC, KPMG, DELOITTE, GENPACT, etc. They offer a decent pay package. The locations are mostly Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune.
College Events
One can definitely say JU has a culture of it's own. From annual cultural festivities like Sanskriti to sports tournaments, the extra curriculars in JU are a package in itself. This helps the students explore and showcase their multifaceted talented self. Every year there is a convocation ceremony for the graduates.
Campus Life
The infrastructure in the campus is very good. There are shops for almost every type of need - stationary, medical, food canteens. The classrooms are air-conditioned and each department has a well-equipped library besides a very elaborate Central Library for the whole university. There are huge playgrounds where tournaments are held. There are spacious and air-conditioned auditoriums as well. There's an open air auditorium too. There's also a provision for safe drinking water at every department.
