Remarks

The college is known to have a wonderful faculty, and it is really true. The college is best known for this course. It provides the best Physiology course in the city. We have wonderful labs where our practical classes are taken.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college is under Calcutta University and hence follows the norms of it. The course is descriptive with every minute detail about the subject. The practical classes are also in relation with the theory that we study.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 11355 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are generally not provided after any B.Sc course. Yes, we are allowed and encouraged to do part-time internships. This helps us to gain a bit experience that will be helpful for us in the future.

College Events

The annual fest of our college is Sangrila. It is conducted every year and people from various colleges take part in the competitions. The college also conducts annual sports meet at a separate ground and all students are free to participate. Various other cultural events are also conducted.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides scholarship only to the economically backward class students. It accepts the government scholarship policy. The college fees is very low and hence people generally do not avail a loan.

Campus Life

The college has free wi-fi on every floor. We have a huge library with books from various genres. We also have separate libraries for each course. The labs are well-equipped with instruments and chemicals. The college also has a moderately big ground.

Placmenets in iit kgp is quite good and high compared to other iits or other engineering colleges many companies visit our college and mostly reputed compaines like amazon microsoft and honeywell comes and many students got selected through the college placement. 80% of the students are getting placed through off campus and on campus

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

A college with all the facilities.

I applied in 5 colleges;Seth Anandram Jaipuriya, Goenka, Surendranath, Lalbaba and City college in which I am currently studying. I got confirmation from lalbaba and City college. I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list. There are 2 or sometimes 3 lists are out for admission list. If you want to go with honours then you need 85 to 90 percent because seats are very limited...Read More
