Remarks

I always dreamt of pursuing the teaching profession in the long run. As I also had a keen interest in biology, I researched through a few college websites and talked to some of my seniors and got to know about the vast outreach of Human Physiology. It is not yet a well-known subject in the B.Sc standard but, is very prospective as one can easily choose between subjects like sports physiology, biochemistry, or biotechnology at M.Sc level. We can get into the research line after giving proper competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

We have an excellent faculty. Teachers are all highly educated and hold high degrees. They are very encouraging and help us a lot with our studies. The lecture they offer are very helpful and all our queries are cleared by them.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 11355 per year

Placement Experience

After B.Sc generally a job is not offered. But we are free to do internships. It helps us to get knowledge about the industrial demands. Jobs are generally offered to us after the completion of our M.Sc course.

College Events

We have our annual fest Sangrila and various other cultural events like Basanta Utsav. We also have annual sports meet every year. We are encouraged and allowed to take part in all these events. We also have library in the college for self-study.

SXC Kolkata is a gem of a college.

Placement Experience:

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

A college with all the facilities.

I had applied in many colleges and also got selected there but I chose city college for it's friendly atmosphere and supportive seniors. In order to eligible for pass course you need minimum 60percent for not put yourself in waiting list. If you score below this then there are chances that your name will be not in the first list. There are 2 or sometimes 3 lists are out for admission list. If you want to go with honours then you need 85 to 90 percent because seats are very limited...Read More
