This is the Top ranked private autonomous institute in West Bengal affiliated to Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. An institute with several field of studies available including BCA, MCA, BTech, MTech, Media Science/Drama/Acting, BBA, MBA, BSc, Msc and much more.

Course Curriculum Overview

Great in one word. Very strict with proper disciplines and full efficiency of studying in any stream with hands on experience. Professors are high qualified and friendly with their students. All type if guidance from the faculty side are available for students all time.

Placement Experience

Microsoft, IBM, Wipro, Infoys, Cognizant, TCS, HCL, Amazon, HDFC, ITC, Byjus like giant size companies are the maximum candidate takers. Also there small companies a lot to come hire students. The roles are for BUSINESS Administrators, Developers, Project Instructors and other engineering also.

College Events

All activities including Sports, Dance, Music, Painiting, Coding, Coding, Drama, Debate, Photography clubs are available. Also Hackathons, Competitions, Festivals are often organized occasionally here.

Campus life: Hype vs Truth

Placement Experience:

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

Placement Experience:

The placement record in my college is preety good. 80-90% students are already placed this year. Average package is around 9.5lpa. Companies like ICICI, KPMG, PWC, Vedanta, Mother Dairy and so many are coming for recuiting students.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Placement is a race here. Handfull of good companies with good roles will come but they take good chunk of students. So be prepare for that and don't worry about getting good companies, here many companies offers better packages than those good companies.

The life in HITK

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

IIT KHARGPUR- WORTH IT?

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
