Ashwini Iangrai's Review On Central Institute Of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar, Kokrajhar

The college has all the required facilities, equipments and infrastructure for the course I wanted to undertake. One of the many things I like most about this college is that it is located on the outskirts away from the hustle and bustle of the city thus providing a calm and peaceful environment to study in. Also, the library of the college is worth commendation. I opted for Btech in Civil Engineering because it is one of the core courses of Engineering and I've always been fascinated by structures.

The course syllabus are upto date. Yes, we are provided enough industrial exposure. But you will also have to do internships during your summer if you want to add to your resume. The faculties were good. Some of them taught very well, while the rest were moderate.

The institute and the placement cell of the college are working hard towards getting new companies to recruit students every year. Now that the Institute has become a Deemed to be university, there are chances that more companies would provide more placements for the students.

We have one major event every semester. The technical event happens during the odd semester while the cultural event happens during the even semester. Students from all over kokrajhar come to participate in these events. The event closes with renown artists performing for the rest of the event.

Overall the campus infrastructure wasn't too bad. We had a good library. LAN connection that we could log into using our provided email and password. They kept introducing new equipments of different branches so the students would be able to familiarise with them.

Each room is occupied by 3 students maximum. The room comes with an attached balcony. They also provide basic necessities such as beds, tables, chairs, fans, plug points and lan ports for each student. All the students that attend the college are required to stay within the campus premises i.e the boys or girls hostel so it is easy to avail the hostel facility.
