Remarks

The college is located at the heart of Kolkata. It is well connected by both road and metro. The fee structure is less compared to other colleges in the city. The infrastructure isn't great but it's managable and faculties are good enough to complete the degree with a good DGPA.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college strictly follows the syllabus provided by our university. I am a fresher so didn't encounter any industrial experience yet. The faculties are good. They are available all time to help you. If you want extra classes they provide you without asking a single question.

Placement Experience

Being a Tier-3 college we don't have so much placement opportunity from campus. Only a few company arrives every year including TCS and Cognizant.

College Events

Every year college organises Tech Fests named Celsius. Also I didn't encounter it yet. But in this pandemic we are conducting different activities online including dance competition, art competition, quiz competition etc.

Campus Life

We have a big field where many tech fests are organised. The campus has wifi and we have sports facilities including indoor and outdoor games. The equipment in labs are fine enough to pursue the course.

A Peaceful, Culturally Rich Journey at Visva-Bharati University

Placement Experience:

Placements at VBU especially for courses like BA IN JAPANESE are limited. Most students do not receive offers through campus recruitment. However, the course opens up oppurtunities in fields like translation, interpretation and working with Japanese Companies especially for those who clear JLPT N2 or N1. After completing my bachelor's I plan to pursue an MBA as combining language skills with management education offers a strong edge in the global job market.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Generally all the subjects excluding few rare subjects are available here. I choose this course because of my future planning. I can go for research with help of this. And I loved the course's study material and syllabus. The faculty is very well. Many teachers are here. Minimum 5 teachers in one department. And all teachers are qualified. The teachers are very good knowledgeable. They are very punctual and teaches us very carefully. In every semester there is held two college's internal examination. And end of the semester there is held a final exam when we have to go to different exam center. And practical exams are held very nicely.

The main reason behind choosing the college over other colleges is it's electrical department's history. The electrical department has received many awards, certificates for the projects development. There was a time when the college had 120 students in the electrical department. Making it one of the highest in the state.
