Tanvi Shrotriya's Review On Gargi College - [GC], New Delhi

It is a well reputed college with a very nice NIRF ranking. it holds a special status among the colleges of University of Delhi and not only in academics but also and extra curricular activities. Physical Sciences is upgraded version of general BSc. It is much better than the original one and not difficult as Honours subject. Choosing this course also allow you to choose any subject of your choice for post graduation and like Honours subject in which you have to continue with the subjects that you took for the Honours subject. This course has a much wider scope and also the syllabus is is really nice. Many job opportunities are provided by this course.

The course was well updated by the University. Every year there use to be a certain change in the syllabus. The faculties of science stream are really good. They are scholar and learned in their subjects and have a great experience for teaching. The course was dealt really well with the time table designed by the concerned department of the college. The teachers are well concerned in completing the syllabus by time. Regular tests and internals are held. Assignments are also a necessary part. Overall the academics factor of the college is at the top.

Many companies visit the college not only during the end of this year but also in between the academic year.many internships are held and students are well informed whenever there is a job opportunity that they can seek or any internship or any webinar which they can attend. there is also a placement cell which you can join which will ensure that you are developing your personality and how to deal the situation when the interview arrives. The groom the students so well. They are taught group discussions interviews and many more things.

The extra curricular activities of our college are over the top. Various societies of a college like Indian musical society Indian dance society Western music society Western dance society debating society creativity society and so on and so forth. Societies bring their own karizma to the college they are so well organised that Gargi is one of the top colleges in receiving awards whenever the competitions are held be it at fest or some other competition. The annual fest organised by our college reverie is a three day fest. These three days are the best days of our college lives. There is food there is competition there is fun and many more things which cannot be described in words. The crowd is really really huge. And the concerts, they are just amazing. Last year jubin nautiyal came to our college and believe me I just cannot forget that day ever in my life.

Talking about the infrastructure of my college, it is terrible. The air conditioners do not work wherever they are. The benches and desks will remind you of a typical government funded college. The labs are not well maintained. And the washrooms. they are like hell. I don't think even public toilets are worse than my college toilets. Gargi is notorious for its network issues. You just cannot call a personal standing next to you. As soon as you enter the college your phone will show 0 signal. The Wi-Fi provided by the college is terrible it barely works.so mobile phone is only used for clicking pictures if they want otherwise there is no use of mobile phone in a college with respect to connecting to other person.
