There are many factors that drove me to take admission in NUJS. It is among the top 5 NLUs in India. It has very huge alumni base so one can find NUJS alumni in every field of law, be it corporate firms or civil services. Tier 1 law firms recruit graduates from here.

Course syllabus is usually updated once a year i.e. two semesters. Students concerns regarding academics is taken into consideration while making any change in the same. Faculties are graduates from NUJS itself or foreign law colleges.

I have interned with a lawyer practicing in the High Court of Calcutta. Works were related to drafting notices, contacting clients and researching on case laws. I did not get stipend but got to know many things about litigation which will help me in the long run.

Placement process is conducted and managed by student run committee called Campus Recruitment Committee. It is wholly run by students with minimal interference from the administration. The members of CRC are elected on vote basis to ensure fair representation of the batch.

Cultural festivals conducted in NUJS are big. Such festivals are wholly conducted by student run committees. Students from all over the country participate in events such as singing, dancing and acting.

Scholarships are provided to students on merit and need basis. Students having good academic records are given scholarship by organizations like Birla.
