Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty members in the college are good as the newly recruited teachers are active and quite knowledgeable. They want to teach us so that we can survive in the harsh world. Teaching methods are good. The teacher to student relationship is fruitful. The student to teacher ratio is low. Teachers are very much involved in extracurricular activities.

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 715000 per year

Placement Experience

The college has provided enough placements last year. But this year, the placements in core companies have been reduced. The average salary package offered was 5.5 LPA. A few core companies visited the college and offered good salary packages. A placement cell is available, and it is doing a great job to place maximum students by the end of the course.

College Events

Events like a cultural fest, a tech fest called Ojass, annual sports meet, alumni meet, etc., are conducted here.Both of them are organised at a large scale and both witness enthusiastic participation of students. The institute attracts some of the best brains in the country every year, and this makes the overall learning atmosphere, a conducive one

Campus Life

Since it is a very old institution, the facilities available here are poor. Wi-Fi zones are not available. Smart classrooms are also not available. However, hostels are very good, and the improvement of infrastructure in the academic building is going on. Quality of food served is good. A few canteens and small shops are available on the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
