Remarks

The college has a large number of highly knowledgeable and experienced faculty members. You would live some of the most beautiful moments of your life in college. NIT Jamshedpur provides very good placements.you can also visit some of the other places in Jamshedpur like chandil dam.so you will enjoy after getting admited in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college has a large number of highly knowledgeable and experienced faculty members. They are highly qualified and possess a PhD in their respective fields. They are very helpful and interactive. New professors are also hired as per the requirement. The course curriculum is based on the syllabus prescribed by AICTE. It is based on the core knowledge and aims regarding the technical development of the student.

Placement Experience

NIT Jamshedpur provides very good placements. Computer science engineering boasts of over 95% placements. Branches like EEE, ECE, mechanical, production, have placements over 90%. Civil engineering has placements around 75%. Metallurgy branch has placements around 85%.

College Events

Various fests like OJASS which is an annual techno-management fest, Culfest which is a cultural fest, and Urja which is an annual sports meet, are conducted in the college. Other events like technical, CDS Exhibition, Cognitio, GQW, Litweek, are also conducted here.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't get scholarship but Some of the scholarships like Tata Cummins, Navodaya student also get scholarships. Other scholarships also provided to students according to their knowledge and eligibility.

Campus Life

The academic building of the college has an old infrastructure. The library is also not advanced. CSE department has centralised AC classrooms. New academic building is under construction. Hostels are grand and have a superb infrastructure. Quality of food served is very nice. Labs are also not much developed. There are enough facilities for games along with grounds and courts available.

Hostel Facilities

Yes I have opted a hostel and it is compulsory to take hostel because during admission you have to pay the fee along with hostel fee.Hostels are grand and have a superb infrastructure. Quality of food served is very nice.Hostel K and hostel J look like 5 star hotels.every students get single room. The canteen was excellent

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

Students from semester 3 are eligible to sit for campus placement. There are even some companies which ask for fresher where student of any semester can apply. The specialised course like CA CS MBA has more placement opportunities. Many companies visits like GARNIER, TCS, GOVERMENT COMPANY _JHALSA. recently around 20 Students are selected in TCS with pacakage of INR 3Lakhs . There is no percentage requirements. Every particular can sit for campus placements. It depends on their skill and ability to impress the interviewers so that they can be placed. Basically there is Group discussion(GD) round and personal interview (PI)round which after qualifying one can get placed in the companies.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

students get placemetns from the 5th semester and are also give training for a month. more company enter my college like tata ,mahindra, honda and etc. if you have good marks in you six semester and you answer the questions correctly , the company may offer you a high package,and you can also demand you package. for mechanical engineers 100%,electrical engineers 75%and other branch68%. i will work in the company after getting the degree

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
