Remarks

This college has the best faculty that is needed for my course. It is a goverment college so fees is quite less in comparision to the other law colleges. College timing is from 7 am to 11 am. The teachers are quite helpful, so are tge seniors.

Course Curriculum Overview

Studying law is as hard as you make it. Some people choose to make it very very hard. Cases have a certain basic structure: there are some facts, there is an abstract statement of the law, then there is an application of that abstract law to the facts, to reach an ultimate result.

Placement Experience

It is a government college, so faculty members don't work hard to provide placements here. One of the main features is it is affordable. In the profession of a law, a student required the degree mainly so they can practice in court in 5th year. Almost 90% of students get into any kind of internship.

College Events

Campus life was fun. Apart from studies our college helps us to discover our hidden talents that is within us. There us an active participation in different fests and other cultural programs. Students also participate in Sports. Moot court society is an integral part of the law school.

Campus Life

The South Calcutta Law College provides excellent infrastructure to facilitate academic as well as the extra curricular growth of the students. The South Calcutta Law College has well-ventilated Classrooms, Principals Room, Office Room, Library, Computer Lab, Tutorial Room, Faculty Room, Sports Room, Indoor Auditorium, and Canteen.

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

The hustles and joys of a college life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I had chosen this course because of the Media and the lab facility, and my desire to understand the entire course in journalism and mass communication. The course that I took gave a bit more theoretical aspects rather than the practical ones. The practical ones were a bit less compared to theory ones. The areas I would suggest for improvement would be to encourage more assignments and provide more internship facilities to the students. The frequency of the exams for me was okay, and it was moderate, not difficult.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

Get insight of an amazing Law College in Kolkata

In order to get into the college, you'll have to give CULET. You'll have to get good rank in that exam.
