Remarks

Good placement, college is near my home so I don't need to take hostel facility, teachers are very good, also this college has quite good ranking in West Bengal, it's also situated near the main road.

Course Curriculum Overview

As we are the 2nd batch of new syllabus in the first semester we find it quite huge but as the no. of subjects are less we not very difficult and faculties help us very much, in first semester all faculties are quite good

As I am just a first year student I don't know many things about placement but as I heard from senior it is quite good, it's all depends on you how you study if you are good at coding and other things you will get a job

There are lots of competition happen in our college, also there are extra curricular activities available for both boys and girls, there are different types of forums available you can enroll any of the two

I heard it from seniors that before lockdown it was pretty decent but after lockdown the company visits are not that much comapred to before lockdown.Cognizent, Accenture, Mindtree, PQ360 which is a startup company of our senior alumni etc. visits.

St Joseph's college a Decent one

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Students are eligible for campus placement in cse, it ,ece and sometimes elec branches. The others dpt also offers a quite unique variety of placements from different companies. Nearly 60 percent of the students have been placed in this year and others are still on board for a positive response.

I appeared for an entrance exam and I got a seat for CSE (data science) course at Techno International New Town. But I filled upgradation form and went for round 2. And I got a seat for Information Technology course at B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. So I took admission in this college rather than taking risks of going to round 3.
